Çilek Havuz supplies PVC Adhesive and Fitting through quotes and as part of its projects. The tin holds 1000 ml and a carton contains 12 tins. There are two options: a standard 1000 ml adhesive, and a slow-setting 1000 ml adhesive with brush for large-diameter pressure pipes. The options are identified by manufacturer code.

This adhesive is chosen to join the PVC pipes and fittings in the pool pipework. The choice depends on the type of pipe: the standard 1000 ml tin is for general joints, while the slow-setting tin with brush is made for large-diameter pressure pipes. A slow set leaves more time to align the parts while the joint is being made.

Installation and compatible equipment
The adhesive tin, pipes and fittings are made ready before the joints are made on site. The setting time of the chosen adhesive determines how long the parts can be aligned. On large-diameter lines this time is longer, so the slow-setting tin with brush is used.
- The pipe diameter and line type are established, and the tin option is chosen accordingly.
- The tin is opened and the adhesive is applied to the pipe and the fitting.
- The parts are joined and aligned.
- The joint is left untouched until the setting time has passed.

Maintenance checkpoints
The adhesive tin needs no maintenance; the points to watch are how the tin is stored and how the finished joints perform. The lid is kept closed after use, as an open tin can harden. If a leak is seen at a joint, the line is stopped and the joint is inspected.

A slow set gives more time to align the parts before the adhesive hardens. This time is useful on larger-diameter pipes, where making the joint takes longer. The tin with brush is made for this purpose. The joint is not moved and the line is not put under pressure until setting is complete.

No, the adhesive cannot be used in place of the membrane. The adhesive is a 1000 ml solvent cement that joins PVC pipes. The UNI Basic & Plus PVC Membrane is a 25 x 1.65 m roll that waterproofs the pool shell. The two are used for different jobs and appear as separate items on the order list.
