Spa and Hot Tub Pool Construction
Spa and hot tub pool construction is the building of heated pools, in reinforced concrete or with a ready-made shell, with hydromassage jets, an air blower, built-in seating and a separate heating circuit, for villas, hotels and spa areas. Çilek Havuz has built these pools for villas, hotels and spas since 1993. In indoor spaces, dehumidification and ventilation are part of the project.

Hydrotherapy equipment
The effect of a hot tub depends on where the jets are placed: back, lower back and foot jets are positioned around the seats and loungers, and each group can be switched on and off with its own pump or valve.
- The air blower feeds the bubble effect through a separate line, connected with a loop raised above water level so that water cannot flow back.
- Suction outlets are dual and fitted with safety covers; the hydromassage pump runs independently of the filtration circuit.
Hygiene in hot water
Because hot tub water is held at a high temperature and serves many users in a small volume, the contamination load builds up much faster than in a swimming pool.
- Filtration turnover is therefore kept short, automatic measurement and dosing are installed and, for commercial use, secondary disinfection such as UV is considered.
- Drain and supply lines for emptying and refilling the water are included in the design from the start.
Humidity and ventilation
In an indoor spa or hot tub area, water evaporates continuously from the hot surface.
- Without dehumidification and ventilation, condensation forms on the ceiling, mould appears in the grout and metal parts start to corrode.
- The mechanical design deals with dehumidification capacity, the balance of fresh air and exhaust, and a vapour barrier in walls and ceiling together; lighting and electrical equipment are chosen with an ingress protection rating suited to a humid room.
Heating and energy
A hot tub runs at a higher water temperature than a swimming pool and usually has its own heating circuit.
- The choice between a heat exchanger, an electric heater and a heat pump depends on how often it is used and on the building's energy infrastructure.
- A thermal cover, closed when the tub is not in use, reduces both heat loss and evaporation.
Shell and finishes
A reinforced concrete hot tub can take a free form to suit the architecture, with seats, steps and loungers cast together with the shell.
- Mosaic or ceramic tiles are laid with grout that resists hot water and chemicals.
- Where a hot tub is built next to a swimming pool, whether its overflow water goes to a shared balance tank is decided by looking at the temperature and chemical balance of the two pools.

How we work
Site survey and space analysis
We inspect the hot tub location, the load-bearing structure, ventilation options for the room and the energy infrastructure on site.
Design
The shell, jet and blower layout, heating circuit, dehumidification and ventilation are designed together with the mechanical installation.
Construction and installation
The shell is cast, waterproofing and finishes are applied, and jet and air lines are pressure tested before they are covered.
Commissioning
Pumps, blower, heating and dosing are started up and the water balance is set; users are shown how to operate the system and handle daily care.
Maintenance
The 2-year warranty on construction workmanship begins; periodic water analysis and filter and equipment maintenance can continue under a contract.

A dehumidifier or dehumidification unit and a balance of fresh air and exhaust are designed together. Wall and ceiling insulation with a vapour barrier is part of the same design. Outside usage hours, a thermal cover reduces evaporation. Without these measures, condensation, mould and corrosion set in.

It depends on how heavily the tub is used, the water volume and the disinfection routine, so a single fixed interval would be misleading. In commercial use, water quality is tested and recorded regularly and changes are planned on the basis of those results. The project includes drain and supply lines suited to fast emptying and refilling.

Yes. It can go in the garden next to the swimming pool, on a terrace or in an indoor spa area. On a terrace, a structural check confirms whether the supporting structure can carry the load of the filled pool; indoors, dehumidification and ventilation are added to the design.

We give a 2-year warranty on construction workmanship; for products such as pumps, blowers and heaters, the manufacturer's warranty period applies. The scope is set out in the contract, and a periodic maintenance contract can be arranged after handover.
