The pump flow rate and filter size are chosen according to the pool volume; the aim is for the water to pass through the filter every 4-6 hours. Once the volume and turnover time are known, the required flow rate follows, and the pump and filter are matched to that flow rate.

Pump and filter connections are specified for D50, D63 and D75 pipe diameters. In renovation work, the diameter of the existing pipework is the reference; in a new build, the diameter is set together with the flow rate and the pipe length.

Electrical supply in the plant room
Pumps and heat pumps are selected as 230 V single-phase or 400 V three-phase. The control panel is chosen according to the pump power; the phase information is stated on each product's technical data sheet.

A salt chlorinator is chosen according to the pool volume and the bathing load; chlorine output is given for each model in g/h. The pH and chlorine levels are monitored with a test kit, a photometer or an automatic pH and ORP controller.

Heating power for the pool
Heat pump capacity is calculated in kW from the pool volume, the desired water temperature and the season of use. On an outdoor pool, a cover reduces heat loss and lowers the power required.

The output of a sauna heater is chosen in kW according to the volume of the cabin or room; for a steam generator, the room volume is also the basis. The phase information and control panel of the heater and the generator are stated on the technical data sheet.

Every product in our catalogue is one we use on our own projects and have verified against engineering criteria. They are certified systems with available spare parts, compliant with international standards. The only product we will not sell is one we would not use on our own project.
