A villa spa area unites jacuzzi, sauna and hammam under one roof. Making these wet spaces work together takes integrated engineering, from design on.
Jacuzzi, sauna and hammam are each a wet or high humidity space in their own right and each has its own requirements.
When you consider these separately and try to bring them together, moisture conflict on common walls, messy plumbing and an inefficient space flow emerge. However, when you consider all three as a whole from the beginning, you will achieve a healthier and more economical result.
The advantage of integrated design is the sharing of common sense: insulation, ventilation, heating and infrastructure are solved in a single setup. Intermediate solutions such as transitions between spaces, rest areas and showers fall into place from the beginning. When we design a spa area, we first draw this whole and then place each space within this whole. Thus, jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath do not disrupt each other's work, but complement each other.
The most important issue when building three spaces together is to manage the different climates of each without mixing with each other.
Sauna works dry and at high temperature, Turkish bath works moist and hot, and jacuzzi works wet and steamy. Preventing these different environments from leaking into each other is ensured by correctly establishing the transitions and insulation between them. The aim is for you to be able to experience the experience of that place in every place without being spoiled.
Space flow is at least as important as technical issues. In a good spa, the transition from one space to another is natural and comfortable; often a rest or cooling area connects the three. Shower, dressing and rest corners complete this flow. We connect jacuzzi, sauna and hammam technically and as a user experience. Because a spa area can only truly relax when its flow is right.
Water and humidity are the most common in a spa area, and when these two are not managed, they cause the most expensive problems.
The water splashed by the jacuzzi, the steam of the bath and the humidity of the sauna turn into mold, odor and structural deterioration on improperly insulated surfaces. Since this area in the villa is often adjacent to the living areas, it is critical that moisture does not transfer to other rooms or downstairs.
In correct application, the floor and walls of the spa area are surrounded by a continuous waterproofing system. Common walls, drain surrounds and corners between spaces are also strengthened. We design the area as a waterproof whole, leaving the only point where moisture will escape to planned ventilation. Since this insulation is invisible, you will understand its value years later. That's exactly why this is the pen that should never be cut short. We also explained the layer logic of wet space insulation in our Home Type Bath article.
In a spa area, all three spaces produce moisture and heat.
Therefore, ventilation is one of the most important systems that determine the health of the space. When ventilation is designed correctly, spaces dry out during unused hours, mold does not form, and the air ceases to be suffocating. We solve this with a balanced system, not for each space separately, but by considering the whole area.
On the infrastructure side, when water, electricity, waste and heating lines are collected in a single setup, they work more efficiently and become easier to maintain in the future. Service areas where the technical equipment of the jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath can be accessed are planned from the beginning. This common infrastructure facilitates both the initial installation of the spa area and its operation over the years. For system options, you can check out our sauna and bath systems pages.
a spa area project starts by designing the whole, not by selecting individual spaces.
First, we clarify where the area will be located, which spaces it will include, and the flow of use. Then, we construct the common insulation, ventilation and infrastructure according to this whole, and finally we place each space within this framework. Proceeding in this order creates a spa area that complements, rather than contradicts, each other.
When designed correctly, a spa area becomes the most peaceful corner of your villa where you spend the most time. Our approach is not to provide you with a list of products; is to design a whole that suits your lifestyle, space and budget. If you are examining jacuzzi, sauna and bath separately, our Jacuzzi Selection Guide and Home Type Hammam articles will guide you.

+90 216 475 39 37When insulation, ventilation, heating and infrastructure are solved in a single setup, a healthier and more economical result is achieved. Adding spaces one by one often means repetitive infrastructure and inefficient space flow. Integrated design enables the sharing of common solutions. That's why we recommend starting a spa area by drawing its entirety.

A cooling or relaxation area between the sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi significantly increases the comfort of the experience. The body rests and balances there during transitions. This area usually connects the three spaces naturally. Shower and dressing corners complete this flow. A good spa area is only truly relaxing when the flow is right.

Installation in an existing building is possible, but it requires a more careful evaluation. The slab load in the existing structure, keeping the waterproofing from reaching neighbouring volumes and the routing of the infrastructure must all be assessed. It may be necessary to solve more engineering details than in a spa area planned from the beginning. During the exploration, we see what the building offers for this addition and give you a realistic road map.

Ventilation is not solved separately for each space, but with a balanced system that considers the entire area. The sauna operates dry, the Turkish bath moist, and the jacuzzi with steam. The aim is to ensure that the entire area is dried during unused hours without disrupting the climate of that space. This balanced setup is one of the most important systems that prevent mold formation.

Service areas where the technical equipment of the jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath can be accessed are planned from the beginning. Otherwise, in case of a malfunction, it may be necessary to remove the coating. Accessible collection of lines in shared infrastructure significantly simplifies future maintenance. When setting up a spa area, we consider today's appearance and the maintenance day years later.

Since sauna, Turkish bath and jacuzzi require heating and water, the spa area is an item added to the villa's energy and water costs as it is used. The scales that determine this are insulation quality and frequency of use. A common and correctly sized infrastructure makes this expense predictable. We attach importance to discussing the business picture from the beginning so that you can make a sound decision.
