The Competition Swimming Starting Block is a group of eight starting block models used as the start platform in swimming races. Çilek Havuz supplies Competition Starting Block through quotes and as part of its projects. The models consist of blocks with AISI-316 and AISI-304 bodies in 400 and 700 mm heights, the H-700 block with mobile support and two Velocity Advantage options. Anchors are separate items.

Users and applications
The Competition Swimming Starting Block is for users choosing a start platform for each lane. Height, body material and platform size determine the choice. Low blocks are 400 mm and high blocks 700 mm. The H-700 with mobile support is the heaviest model; Velocity Advantage stands apart with its wide platform and five-position footrest.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The blocks are fixed to the pool edge with a fixed base; a mounting plate is visible at the base. The anchor is selected as a separate item and matched to the model code. The footrest position is adjusted before use. A separate anchor kit is available for Velocity Advantage. The platform height is 400, 410 or 700 mm depending on the model.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance of the block focuses on the platform surface, the footrest and the connection points. The platform has a non-slip surface; Velocity Advantage comes with a TrueTread or non-slip surface option. The 6-position footrest and the 5-position Velocity footrest are checked before use. The anchor connection is monitored throughout the service life.
- The slip resistance of the platform surface is checked.
- The footrest position and lock are tested.
- The anchor plate and bolt connections are monitored.
- The body is checked visually for wear and loosening.

The 700 mm block with an AISI-316 body weighs 32 kg and the 400 mm block 25.3 kg. The 700 mm block with an AISI-304 body weighs 25 kg and the 400 mm block 18 kg. The H-700 AISI-316 model with mobile support weighs 110 kg. The weight is taken into account when planning transport and installation.

Velocity Advantage is sold with two surfaces: TrueTread and non-slip. Both are 410 mm high, with a 710 x 810 mm platform, a 5-position footrest and a weight of 53 kg. The base is HDPE composite and the step is fibreglass. The Velocity Advantage Anchor Kit is purchased separately. The footrest position is adjusted to the user.
