The Pool Lighting Cable and Connection Kit is a cable and underwater connection set used to extend the line of an underwater lamp and make the joint watertight. Çilek Havuz supplies Cable and Connection Kit through quotes and as part of its projects. There are five models: 30 m H07RN-F lamp cable in 2 × 1.5 mm² and 2 × 2.5 mm² cross-sections, a polyester resin kit for Ø8-12 mm and Ø13-15 mm cable, and an IP68 underwater connector kit.

Users and applications
When the 2.5 m cable supplied with the lamp does not reach the transformer or the junction box, the line is extended with this kit. The cable reel is used in a new pool for the main line between the transformer and the lamps. The resin kit and the connector kit are used where the joint remains underwater or in a damp duct. The selection is made first by cable cross-section, then by cable outer diameter.

Installation and compatible equipment
The lamp cable is pulled through the cable duct between the transformer and the Pool Lighting Junction Box. If the joint remains underwater or at a damp point, the polyester resin kit is poured or the underwater connector is fitted. The resin kit is chosen by cable outer diameter. The total length of the line between the Pool Lighting Transformer and the furthest lamp does not exceed 40 m.
- The line between the transformer and the lamp is measured and the cross-section is chosen.
- The cable is pulled through the duct and its ends are left in the junction box.
- The cable outer diameter is measured and the Ø8-12 mm or Ø13-15 mm resin kit is chosen.
- The joint is made, the resin is poured and left to cure for 2 hours.
- With the connector kit, no resin is poured; the connector is fitted.

Maintenance checkpoints
A joint sealed with resin is not reopened; in the event of a fault, the joint is cut and a new one is made. Maintenance covers the cable sheath, the duct entries and the joints made with connectors. When the lamp is removed, the cable sheath is checked for cracks or crushing. When a lamp is added to the line, the cable cross-section is checked again against the new load.

+90 216 475 39 37A pool light cable is chosen as 2 × 1.5 mm² or 2 × 2.5 mm² according to the length of the line and the connected lamp load. On a 12 V AC line, voltage drop decreases as the cross-section increases. For this reason, 2 × 2.5 mm² cable is chosen for a long line or one with several lamps. Both cables are H07RN-F type and come on a 30 m reel.

A pool light cable is extended by joining H07RN-F lamp cable to the end of the 2.5 m cable supplied with the lamp. The joint is made inside the Pool Lighting Junction Box. If the joint will remain underwater or in a damp duct, the polyester resin kit or the IP68 underwater connector is used. The total line from the transformer to the lamp does not exceed 40 m.

The polyester connection kit is chosen by the outer diameter of the cable to be joined. The Ø8-12 mm kit is used for cables with an outer diameter of 8-12 mm, and the Ø13-15 mm kit for cables of 13-15 mm. The diameter is measured with a calliper over the cable sheath. Neither kit is suitable for cable with an outer diameter above 15 mm.

A cable joint made with polyester resin can be immersed in water 2 hours after the resin is poured. Before this time has passed, the joint is not put into water or placed in the lamp niche. A joint sealed with resin is not reopened later. If a change is needed, the joint is cut and remade with a new kit that matches the cable outer diameter.

The underwater connector kit joins two cables watertight without pouring resin. The kit contains 5 connectors, 4-pole with IP68 protection, and 2 keys. The connector accepts cable with a cross-section of up to 2.5 mm². For this reason, the kit is used with both the 2 × 1.5 mm² and the 2 × 2.5 mm² lamp cables.

The cable and connection kit extends the line and makes the joint watertight. The Pool Lighting Junction Box is the box in which the lamp cable is joined to the supply line. The box sits on a Ø50 pipe or hose at the poolside and has M-25 threads. If the joint is outside the box and will remain underwater, the resin kit or the underwater connector is used.

The polyester connection kit has code 35661 for Ø8-12 mm and 32803 for Ø13-15 mm. The underwater connector kit has code 71318.
