Users and applications
Panelling lines the wall and ceiling surfaces of the sauna cabin, and bench slats line the benches. The timber species is the first decision: Finnish pine panelling is 15 x 95 mm and 2.1 m, aspen panelling 15 x 70 mm and 2.4 m, thermo aspen 18 x 85 mm and 2.4 m. Bench slats are available in aspen and alder. The drainage bucket is a separate item.
- Panelling for the cabin walls and ceiling
- Aspen or alder slats for the benches
- Thermo aspen panelling for a heat-treated surface
- Finnish pine panelling in 15 x 95 mm
- Drainage bucket for the sauna floor
// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
Panelling and slats are chosen according to the size of the cabin surfaces. First the wall, ceiling and seating surfaces are measured and compared with the 2.1 m or 2.4 m length of each item. The timber species and width are chosen after this measurement. The drainage bucket is a separate item and is used on the sauna floor.
- The cabin wall, ceiling and seating surfaces are measured.
- The timber species and size are chosen: 15 x 70, 15 x 95 or 18 x 85 mm for panelling.
- The quantity needed is calculated from the 2.1 m or 2.4 m length.
- Panelling and slats are fitted in the cabin; the drainage bucket is bought separately for the floor.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
Sauna timber heats up and takes on moisture with every use; maintenance is about letting it dry so it stays sound. Wiping and drying follow each use once the cabin has cooled, and the slats and panelling are checked at regular intervals.
- Surfaces are wiped once the cabin has cooled.
- The tops of the bench slats are dried after use.
- A cracked or broken piece is replaced with a new one.
- The drainage bucket is emptied and kept dry.

Panelling types are priced per metre. Bench slats and the drainage bucket are sold per piece. List prices are based on these units. The quantity needed for the cabin is found by dividing the surface dimension by the 2.1 m or 2.4 m length. Quantity planning is therefore done in metres in advance.
