Users and applications
The Cyclonic leaf canister is used with hose-connected pool cleaners to catch leaves before they reach the pump. It appears in the optional accessory list of the MX6, MX8 and MX10 hydraulic cleaners. The transparent basket shows from the outside when it is full and is easy to empty. It is not used with vacuums and robots that work without a hose.

Installation and compatible equipment
The Cyclonic leaf canister is added to the cleaner's hose line; the connection point is the suction line or the skimmer. Standard hose and Twist Lock hose adaptors are included in the pack, so it can be used with all hose types. No separate part is needed to connect the canister to the hose.

Maintenance checkpoints
When the transparent basket is full, the canister is removed and emptied. As the fill level is visible from the outside, checking it is easy. After emptying, the basket is rinsed with clean water and closed back in place. The hose adaptors and body connections are monitored for leaks and cracks.

The canister collects leaves in a transparent basket on the hose line while the cleaner is running. The Pool Leaf Net, by contrast, removes leaves gathered on the surface and the floor by hand, using a pole. If a hose-connected cleaner is used, the canister is chosen; for manual cleaning, the net. The two can also be used together; the net takes the leaves on the surface, the canister those within the line.

The basket has a transparent window, so the build-up of leaves can be seen from the outside. When the basket is full, the canister is removed and emptied. After emptying, the basket is closed and the canister is fitted back on the line. There is no need to open the canister to check the fill level; the check is made from the outside while the cleaner is running. Once the basket is emptied, the line is ready for use again.
