Users and applications
The water tester is chosen by those who want to read pool water values numerically on a display. The Scuba3s is used in residential pools and spas and measures 11 parameters. The MD100, MD110 and MD200 are for public pools. The MD models measure 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 parameters.

Installation and compatible equipment
The photometer requires no installation. The Scuba3s runs on 2 x AA batteries and switches off automatically after 5 minutes. The water sample is taken into the instrument's cuvette, reagent is added and the value is read on the display. The MD series is pocket-sized, has IP68 protection and withstands immersion at a depth of 0.1 m for 1 hour. The MD110 transfers results via Bluetooth, the Scuba3s via NFC.
- The instrument is checked for fitted batteries.

- The reagent for the parameter to be measured is added.
- The value is read from the display.
- If needed, the result is transferred via NFC or Bluetooth.

Maintenance checkpoints
The instrument is rinsed with clean water and dried after each measurement. The Scuba3s runs on 2 x AA batteries, which are replaced when they run low. The MD series has IP68 protection; even so, the cuvette and sample tube are kept clean. Reagents are separate consumables and are obtained according to the parameter to be measured.

The difference lies in connectivity and measuring range. The MD110 has Bluetooth connectivity and measures 3, 4 or 6 parameters. The MD200 offers an extended measuring range. The MD100 comes in versions with 2, 3, 5 and 6 parameters. All three are pocket photometers for public pools.

The MD200 measures chlorine in the 0.05-6.0 mg/l range, pH in the 6.5-8.4 range and cyanuric acid in the 0-80 mg/l range. The 5 and 6 parameter models also measure alkalinity in the 5-200 mg/l range and calcium hardness in the 50-500 mg/l range. The 6 parameter model reads bromine in the 0.05-13 mg/l range. The more parameters, the more values are measured.

The Scuba3s transfers results to a phone app via NFC. The MD110 models have a Bluetooth interface and transfer results over this connection. Measurements that do not need a connection are read from the instrument's display. For this purpose, the Scuba3s is chosen for a residential pool and the MD110 for a public pool. Results are also shown on the instrument's own display, so the app is not essential.

The MD100, MD110 and MD200 have IP68 protection and withstand immersion at a depth of 0.1 m for 1 hour. The Scuba3s is waterproof and floats in water. Both can therefore be used at the poolside. Even so, the instrument is rinsed with clean water and dried after each measurement.
