The 4-Panel Solar Pool Heating System is a four-collector solar pool heating kit connected to the filter line to warm the water of medium-sized outdoor pools with the sun. Çilek Havuz supplies 4-Panel System through quotes and as part of its projects. It is the middle option in the family, between the 2-panel and 6-panel kits. It needs no electrical line; the existing filter pump circulates the water. A single Standard kit is available.

Users and applications
Intended for villa and garden pool owners who want to warm a medium-sized outdoor pool during the sunny months. The panels need a roof or garden surface that receives sun throughout the day. Heating takes place only during sunny hours. To reduce losses at night, the kit is usually used together with a pool cover.

Installation and compatible equipment
The kit is connected to the existing filtration line with bypass valves; no separate electrical line is needed. The panels are laid out on a south-facing surface free of shade and joined to each other by the hoses between them. When there is no sun, the bypass valve is turned and the water returns to the pool without passing through the panels. The flow and return lines are routed to the panels by the shortest possible path.

Maintenance checkpoints
The panel surface is kept free of dust and leaves; a clean surface absorbs the sun better. The connecting hoses can harden over time in the sun, so they are checked for cracks at the start of the season. If air remains in the hose, flow decreases and the line is bled again. At the end of the season, the panels are drained and the bypass is closed.

Whether it is enough depends on the surface area of the pool, use of a cover and the sun the panels receive. For an uncovered, large pool the 6-Panel Solar Pool Heating System is considered, and for a small pool the 2-panel kit.

The filter pump sends the water leaving the filter to the panels via the bypass valves. The black panels absorb sunlight and heat the water passing through the channels. The warmed water returns to the pool through the return line. When there is no sun, the bypass is opened and the water goes directly to the pool without passing through the panels.

The temperature rise is not given as a fixed value; it varies with hours of sunshine, number of panels, pool volume and use of a cover. No heating value is published on the page for the four-panel kit. When the pool is covered at night with the 400 Micron Bubble Solar Pool Cover, the loss of heat gained during the day is reduced.

The 4-panel kit has twice as many panels as the 2-panel kit. The 2-Panel Solar Pool Heating System suits small and above-ground pools, and the 4-panel kit suits medium-sized outdoor pools. The connection method is the same for both kits. The filter pump circulates the water, and the kits need no electricity.

The kit is connected to the existing filtration line and needs no electrical line; the filter pump circulates the water. What is needed is a shade-free, south-facing surface, the PVC Pool Ball Valve (Two-Way) for the bypass at the filter outlet, and PVC pipework to and from the panels. Fittings are selected according to the line diameter.

The panels consume no electricity; the heat comes directly from the sun. The only energy used is that of the filter pump pushing water to the panels, and the pump already runs for filtration. If the line becomes longer or the panels are installed higher up, the pump works against a higher pressure. Whether the pump is sufficient for this line is checked before installation.
