The 6-Panel Solar Pool Heating System is a six-collector solar pool heating kit connected to the filter line to heat pool water with the sun. Çilek Havuz supplies 6-Panel System through quotes and as part of its projects. The filter pump passes the water through the black panels, and the warmed water returns to the pool. Users and applications
Intended for villa and residential complex owners who want to warm a large outdoor pool during the sunny months without additional electricity consumption. Six panels need a large surface, so the first decision is where the panels will be placed. In a pool where heat is wanted regardless of the weather, the kit is installed together with a heat pump and reduces the load on the heat pump during sunny hours.

Installation and compatible equipment
The panels are placed side by side on a south-facing roof or on the ground, where they are not shaded during the day. After the filter, the water line is diverted to the panels with bypass valves, and the return line is connected to the pool. As the line for six panels is long, it is checked that the filter pump can push the water up to the panels. On a roof installation, the panels are secured against wind.
- A shade-free area large enough for six panels is measured.
- The panels are laid out side by side and secured to the surface.
- Three valves are installed at the filter outlet for the bypass.
- The flow and return lines are connected to the panel ends.
- The line is bled, and flow and tightness are checked.

Maintenance checkpoints
The panel surface is kept free of leaves and dust, because a dirty surface collects less heat. Hose connections and clamps are checked for leaks at the start of the season. At the end of the season, the panels are drained; water freezing inside can damage the channels. Before draining, the bypass valve is closed to the panels.

As the number of panels increases, so does the heat transferred to the water under the same sun. For a final choice, the surface area of the pool, the area where the panels will be placed and whether the pool will be used with a cover are assessed together.

On a roof installation, as the line rises, it is also checked that the filter pump can push the water up to the panels.

As the existing filter pump passes the water through the panels, most installations do not need a separate pump. If the line is long or the roof is high, the pump pressure may not be sufficient. In that case, the pump capacity is checked. If needed, a separate circulation pump, for example the Ramses Pool Circulation Pump, is selected according to the height of the line.

The collectors are heated only by sunlight and give no heat on cloudy days or at night. The kit is therefore used to extend the season during the sunny months. In a pool that needs heat regardless of the weather, a heat pump such as the AstralPool Eco Elyo Heat Pump is also installed. During sunny hours, the panels reduce the load on the heat pump.

The difference is the number of panels: the 6-panel kit has two more panels and is used in a larger pool. The 4-Panel Solar Pool Heating System suits a narrower roof or a medium-sized pool. Both kits are connected to the filter line with bypass valves and need no electricity.

At the end of the season, the panels are drained completely, because water freezing inside can damage the channels. For draining, the bypass valve is closed to the panels and the line is opened at its lowest point. The panels can stay in place or be removed and stored in a dry place. In spring, the system is put back into service after the connections are checked.

Yes. During sunny hours, the panels heat the water and reduce the load on the heat pump. In a pool where heat is wanted regardless of the weather, the heat pump remains in operation, because the panels give no heat on cloudy days or at night. Both systems are connected to the filter line; the panel line is separated with bypass valves.
