The 400 Micron Bubble Solar Pool Cover is a floating thermal pool cover in 400 µm thick polyethylene that is laid on the water surface. Çilek Havuz supplies 400 Micron Bubble through quotes and as part of its projects. Its nine models combine three finishes with three sizes: borderless, DUO Blue and Luxe Blue; 4 x 8, 5 x 10 and 6 x 12 m. It raises the water temperature by 3-4 °C and reduces evaporation by 98%.

Users and applications
The 400 micron cover is chosen for pools where heat loss and evaporation are to be reduced and a 3-4 °C temperature rise is sufficient. It offers nine standard models in three sizes and three finishes. For pools that need a higher temperature rise, the 500 µm Energy Guard series is considered; this series is on the Bubble Thermal Cover page.

Installation and compatible equipment
The 400 micron cover is laid on the pool water. On the borderless model the edge is cut; the DUO Blue model has strips on the short edges and the Luxe Blue model on all four edges, and the strip edges carry rings. For winding, the fixed tube shaft, the ECO-ROLL roller or a mobile reel suitable for bubble covers is chosen from Cover Shaft & Roller Systems.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance of the 400 micron cover relies on keeping the surface and edge finish clean. As the polyethylene surface is joined by ultrasonic welding, the weld lines are monitored. When not in use, the cover is wound onto a shaft, roller or mobile reel. The rings on the strip edges and the reel attachments are checked.

The 400 micron cover comes in three sizes: 4 x 8, 5 x 10 and 6 x 12 m. Combining the three sizes with the three finishes gives nine standard models. Each size is available with each finish. For pools outside these sizes, a quote is requested.

The 400 micron bubble cover warms the water by 3-4 °C. The temperature rise comes from the cover keeping the water surface closed. The cover reduces water evaporation by 98%. Lower evaporation also reduces heat loss from the water. For a higher rise, the 500 µm Energy Guard series gives 7 °C.

Energy Guard is chosen when a 7 °C temperature rise is needed. The 400 µm Bubble series gives a 3-4 °C rise, and the 500 µm Energy Guard series gives 7 °C. Energy Guard is UV protected and uses selective transmission technology. The series is on the Bubble Thermal Cover page.

The 400 micron cover is wound with the fixed tube shaft, the ECO-ROLL roller and the mobile reels in Cover Shaft & Roller Systems. The bubble model of the single-axis manual mobile reel is for covers up to 7 x 15 m, and the bubble and foam model for covers up to 7.5 x 20 m. The reel is selected according to the pool size.

The cover is polyethylene and is produced by ultrasonic welding. Its thickness is 400 µm. The DUO Blue and Luxe Blue models have edge strips and rings; the ring material is nickel-plated brass. On the borderless model the edge is cut without a strip. All three finishes are made from the same polyethylene. The thickness is the same across all three finishes.

The reduction in energy consumption is given as 69% for the 400 µm Bubble series. Water evaporation is reduced by 98% and the water temperature rises by 3-4 °C. For the 500 µm Energy Guard series, the reduction in energy consumption is 60%. The reduction in evaporation is the same for both series.
