The Bubble Thermal Cover is a floating polyethylene pool cover that is laid on the water surface to reduce evaporation and heat loss. Çilek Havuz supplies Bubble Thermal through quotes and as part of its projects. The Bubble series is 400 µm thick and the Energy Guard series 500 µm. It has three finishes: borderless, DUO and Luxe. It is made in 4 x 8, 5 x 10 and 6 x 12 m sizes and is ultrasonically welded.

Users and applications
The Bubble Thermal Cover is laid on the water surface in projects that want to reduce heat loss and evaporation from the pool water. The Bubble series is 400 µm thick and warms the water by 3-4 °C. The Energy Guard series is 500 µm thick and gives a 7 °C rise. The choice is made according to the heat gain required and the finish type.

Installation and compatible equipment
The bubble cover is laid on the pool water and is wound up and stored when not in use. For winding, the fixed tube shaft or the ECO-ROLL roller is chosen from Cover Shaft & Roller Systems. The cover is made to suit the pool size and is attached to the shaft with straps. The finish type determines how the edges are worked.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance of the bubble cover relies on keeping its surface and edge finishes clean. When not in use, the cover is wound onto the shaft or roller and stored. The stitched edge strips are monitored on the DUO and Luxe finishes, and the cut edge on the borderless model. The reel attachment straps and holders are reviewed regularly.

The choice depends on the heat gain required. The 400 µm Bubble series gives a 3-4 °C temperature rise and the 500 µm Energy Guard series 7 °C. Energy Guard is UV protected and uses selective transmission technology. Bubble models have list prices; Energy Guard is priced on request.

The three finishes differ in how the edge is worked. On the borderless model the edge is cut and there is no strip. The DUO model has a stitched strip on the short edges. The Luxe model has a stitched strip on all four edges. All three finishes are available in both the 400 µm Bubble and the 500 µm Energy Guard series.

Water evaporation is reduced by 98%. This figure is given for all models. The reduction in energy consumption is stated as 69% for the Bubble series and 60% for the Energy Guard series. When evaporation falls, heat loss from the pool water also falls. This reduction applies for as long as the cover stays in place.

The Bubble Thermal Cover shows the eighteen models of the Bubble and Energy Guard series together. The 400 Micron Bubble Solar Pool Cover consists only of the 400 µm Bubble models: three finishes and three sizes, nine models. If 500 µm Energy Guard is wanted, the list on this page is used.

Cover Shaft & Roller Systems includes the fixed tube shaft and the ECO-ROLL roller for bubble covers. The fixed tube shaft comes in 4.50, 5.50 and 6.50 m lengths and uses 9, 11 and 13 straps. ECO-ROLL is for covers up to 4 x 9, 5 x 11 and 7 x 14 m.

It is made in three sizes: 4 x 8, 5 x 10 and 6 x 12 m. Both the Bubble and Energy Guard series are available in these sizes. Each size is supplied with borderless, DUO and Luxe finishes. For pools outside these sizes, a quote is requested.
