Users and applications
Used to remove sand, hair and small debris that collect on the floor of a spa or hot tub without draining the water. Domestic hot tubs, outdoor spas and hotel hydromassage pools fall into this class. Tight spots such as seat edges and corners are cleaned by hand. The long handle also reaches pool steps.

Installation and compatible equipment
The SpaWand Spa and Hot Tub Vacuum needs no installation; it is not connected to the pump, the skimmer or the spa pipework. The wall mounting kit supplied in the package is fixed to a dry wall near the spa. After use, the vacuum is kept upright on this mount. Before each use, the stainless steel filter is checked to be in place.

Maintenance checkpoints
After each use, sand and hair are emptied from the filter. The stainless steel filter is rinsed with fresh water and left to dry. The suction inlets are checked for clogging. As spa water contains chemicals, the vacuum is not left in the sun; it is stored on its mount in the shade.

+90 216 475 39 37Sand and hair on the floor of the hot tub are removed with the SpaWand Spa and Hot Tub Vacuum without draining the water. The vacuum is moved slowly close to the floor and debris collects in the stainless steel filter. The water chemistry is measured and balanced separately. The vacuum only removes settled debris; it does not disinfect the water.

The SpaWand Spa and Hot Tub Vacuum is not connected to the pump or the skimmer; it is used by hand. No hose, adaptor or pump suction is needed. For this reason it is also used in portable hot tubs that have no skimmer. After use, the vacuum is kept hanging beside the spa on the wall mounting kit included in the package.

SpaWand is a 1.2 kg vacuum used by hand. The Zodiac Spabot Spa and Hot Tub Cleaning Robot is a cordless robot that works on its own. Spabot runs for 60 minutes on one charge in spas up to 3 x 3 m and weighs 2.5 kg. SpaWand is chosen for tight corners and quick touch-ups, Spabot for regular automatic cleaning.

A spa vacuum is moved in slow, straight strokes with the suction inlet held close to the floor. In the SpaWand Spa and Hot Tub Vacuum, debris collects in the stainless steel filter. Fast movement lifts sand from the floor into the water and makes it cloudy. Seat edges and corners are cleaned last, with whichever of the two suction inlets suits the spot.

In a pool, the SpaWand Spa and Hot Tub Vacuum is used in small areas such as steps, in front of the ladder and corners. A handheld vacuum is too slow for the whole pool floor. For automatic cleaning of a large pool floor, a pool robot or a hydraulic cleaner is chosen. SpaWand is then used for the spots the robot cannot reach.
