Users and applications

Intended for villa pool owners looking for a corded robot that cleans the whole pool in one cycle and is managed from a phone. With this model the deciding factor is cable length: the route from the socket where the panel stands to the farthest corner of the pool must not exceed 18 m. As the robot is fed from the mains, it does not wait for charging and can run every day.

  • Villa pools where the farthest corner is within 18 m of the socket
  • Pools where the floor, walls and waterline are cleaned together
  • Users who want to start and monitor the robot from a phone
  • Pools that need a robot able to run every day without waiting for a charge

// 03 · Installation and compatibility

Installation and compatible equipment

The robot is not connected to the pool pipework; it is fed from the mains through its control panel. The panel is plugged into an earthed socket in a dry place away from the pool and sheltered from rain. The robot cable is connected to the panel and laid out straight. If the app is to be used, the robot is paired with the phone before the first run. The robot is lowered into the water on its side so that the air inside escapes.

  1. The distance from the socket to the farthest corner is measured to confirm it does not exceed 18 m.
  2. The panel is plugged into an earthed socket with residual current protection in a dry place.
  3. The robot cable is connected to the panel and laid out straight.
  4. The robot is paired with the app and lowered into the water on its side.
  5. The cycle is started from the app or from the panel.

// 04 · Maintenance

Maintenance checkpoints

After every cycle, the transparent cover is opened, the filter basket is emptied and the filter is washed with a hose. The transparent cover shows how full the basket is without opening the robot. At regular intervals the cable is fully unrolled and laid out straight. Brushes and tracks are checked for hair, leaves and sand; the robot is taken out of the water once the cycle ends.

  • The filter basket is emptied after every cycle.
  • The cable is unrolled and laid out straight at regular intervals.
  • Brushes and tracks are checked for wear.
  • After the cycle, the robot is taken out of the water and stored in the shade.

An 18 m cable covers a pool where the route from the control panel to the farthest corner stays within 18 m. The Zodiac CNX 40/60 iQ comes with this cable. If the panel is placed near the middle of the long side, the cable covers a larger area. The length of cable running from the poolside down into the water is also added to the measurement.

Smart navigation lets the robot scan the floor, walls and waterline in turn. The Zodiac CNX 40/60 iQ covers these three areas in a single cycle. Scanning follows the robot's own choice of direction; the user does not draw a route. The cycle is started from the app or from the control panel at the poolside.

Both robots are corded, have an 18 m cable and clean the floor, walls and waterline. The RE 4400 iQ Voyager is specified with a 12 x 6 m pool limit, a 150/60 µm filter and 150 W power. These values are not given in the Zodiac CNX 40/60 iQ record; the choice is made by cable length and app use.

Çilek Havuz Corporate

Before first use, the robot is paired with the iAquaLink app on the phone. From then on, cleaning is started and scheduled from the phone. Pairing is done once and is not repeated for each cycle. Even without the app, the cycle is started from the control panel at the poolside and the robot cleans the floor, walls and waterline in the same way.

Çilek Havuz Corporate

Yes, a corded robot is fed from the mains and does not wait for charging. The Zodiac CNX 40/60 iQ can be run every day, with the cycle started from the app or the panel. The robot is taken out of the water once the cycle ends and the cable is laid out straight. After every cycle, the filter basket is emptied by opening the transparent cover.

Çilek Havuz Corporate

The transparent cover shows how full the filter basket is without opening the robot. When the basket is full, suction drops and the robot struggles to pick up debris. The basket is accessed from the top; the cover is opened, the basket is lifted out by hand and washed with a hose. Filter maintenance is done at the poolside without turning the robot over. The cover is checked after every cycle, and the basket is emptied even if it looks half full.

Çilek Havuz Corporate

The difference is in power supply and cable. The Zodiac CNX 40/60 iQ is fed from the mains, works with an 18 m cable and does not wait for charging. The CNX-Li 52 iQ is cordless; it runs for 120 min on a lithium-ion battery and is chosen for pools up to 10 x 5 m. If no cable is wanted in the pool, the Li model is considered.
