AstralPool Excellium Inverter Heat Pump, Commercial Grade.
AstralPool Excellium Inverter is a commercial heat pump that heats and cools the water of hotel, campsite, sports club and public pools. Çilek Havuz supplies Excellium through quotes and as part of its projects. Its five models deliver 45 kW to 185 kW of heating output. All models run on a 380-415 V three-phase supply and carry two compressors and a titanium heat exchanger. It heats until the outdoor air drops to -15°C.

Users and applications
Excellium Inverter is intended for facilities that need to keep a large volume of water warm throughout the season or all year round. It is used on hotel, holiday resort, campsite, sports club, wellness, spa and water park pools. In summer it switches to cooling mode and limits overheating of the water in hot climates. The model is selected according to the winter heat demand of the facility.

Installation and compatible equipment
The unit is installed in the open air on a level plinth where the airflow is not obstructed, and is connected to the pool line after the filter. The hydraulic connection is 63 mm on models 30 and 45 and 90 mm on the larger models. The supply is 380-415 V three-phase; the rated current is between 14.4 A and 53 A. The pump flow is kept within the range recommended for the model.
- The model is selected according to the heat demand of the facility and the winter temperature.
- The unit is placed on a level plinth that carries its weight of 290 kg to 810 kg.
- The inlet and outlet are connected at 63 or 90 mm to the line after the filter.
- The three-phase supply is run with a cable and fuse suited to the current of the model.
- The water flow is set according to the recommended range of the model.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
Routine work on the unit is keeping the air coil and the area around the fan clean. Leaves and dust reduce the airflow and lower efficiency. The pH of the pool water is kept in balance, and the filter is backwashed on time. If the unit is to stay off for a long period and there is a risk of frost, the water circuit is drained. The R410A refrigerant circuit is opened only by an authorised service.
- The air coil and fan grille are cleared of leaves and dust.
- The pH of the pool water and the filter flow are checked.
- The water circuit is drained during long shutdowns and when there is a risk of frost.
- Only an authorised service works on the refrigerant circuit.

+90 216 475 39 37At 28°C air and 28°C water, Excellium Inverter 30 delivers 45 kW of heating output. The number in the model name is not the same as the measured output. Under the same conditions, model 45 delivers 60 kW, model 60 85 kW, model 90 130 kW and model 130 185 kW. At 15°C air, output drops to between 30 kW and 130 kW.

On a commercial pool, heat pump output is selected according to the water volume and the desired water temperature. The lowest air temperature in winter is also taken into account. On Excellium Inverter, heating output at 15°C air and 26°C water is between 30 kW and 130 kW. At 28°C air the same models deliver 45 kW to 185 kW. The calculation is made with the pool dimensions and location details.

In summer, pool water is cooled with Excellium Inverter; the unit operates fully reversibly. At 30°C air and 26°C water, cooling output is between 23 kW and 92 kW. When the air rises to 43°C, this value drops to between 15 kW and 60 kW. In cooling, the EER value is 3.4 at 30°C air and between 2.6 and 2.7 at 43°C air.

Excellium Inverter operates until the outdoor air drops to -15°C. At -10°C air and 26°C water, heating output is between 19 kW and 75 kW and the COP value between 2.8 and 2.9. This output is less than half of the value at 28°C air. For an outdoor pool heated all year round, the model is selected according to the winter value.

Excellium Inverter is fully inverter driven, all five models heat and cool, and it operates down to -15°C. On AstralPool Proheat II Standard/Chiller, cooling is available only on the Chiller version, and the minimum operating air temperature is 0°C. Proheat II Standard delivers 36.2 kW to 125.5 kW of heating, Excellium 45 kW to 185 kW.

A three-phase 380-415 V, 50 Hz supply is required; Excellium Inverter has no single-phase model. The rated current is 14.4 A on model 30 and 53 A on model 130. The electrical panel of the facility is prepared for this current. The cable section and fuse rating are determined during installation according to the electrical design.

On Excellium Inverter, the compressor carries a 5-year warranty and the titanium heat exchanger a 7-year warranty. Each model has two Mitsubishi compressors, and the unit runs on R410A refrigerant. The refrigerant charge is 5.3 kg on Excellium Inverter 30 and 19 kg on Excellium Inverter 130. The same warranty periods apply to all five models.
