AstralPool Proheat II Standard/Chiller is a family of industrial heat pumps that heat large facility pools. Çilek Havuz supplies Proheat II Standard · Chiller through quotes and as part of its projects. The Standard version heats only; the Chiller version provides automatic cooling in addition to heating. Each version comes in five capacity steps. The Standard models deliver 36.2 kW to 125.5 kW of heating at 25°C air and 26°C water. The supply is 400 V three-phase.

// 02 · Use
Users and applications
Proheat II Standard/Chiller is intended for facilities with large pools, such as hotels. A facility that only wants to extend the season or heat in winter chooses the Standard version. The Chiller version is chosen in hot climates where the water overheats in summer, or for a pool where a constant temperature is wanted all year round. Both versions are compatible with remote connection (Fluidra Connect).

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The unit is connected to the pool line after the filter; the connection is 63 mm on steps 35, 45 and 60 and 75 mm on steps 90 and 120. The supply is 400 V three-phase, and the maximum current is between 23.4 A and 79.6 A. Steps 90 and 120 carry two fans. The area in front of the fan outlets is kept clear, and space is left around the unit for servicing.
- The version is chosen first: Standard for heating only, Chiller if cooling is also needed.
- The capacity step is determined according to winter and summer demand.
- The unit is placed with the fan outlet left clear.
- The water line is connected at 63 or 75 mm after the filter.
- The 400 V three-phase supply is run according to the maximum current.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
The main maintenance task is keeping the air coil and fans clean. If leaves and dust block the coil, heating and cooling output falls. The pH and hardness of the pool water are kept in balance, and the water flow is monitored within the range of the step. On the Chiller version, the switch between heating and cooling is tested at the start of the season. The R410A circuit is opened only by an authorised service.

+90 216 475 39 37Proheat II Standard only heats the pool water. Proheat II Chiller has an automatic cooling mode in addition to heating and cools the water in summer. Both versions come in the same steps 35, 45, 60, 90 and 120, with the same water flow and connection sizes. A facility that needs cooling chooses the Chiller version.

At 30°C air and 26°C water, Proheat II Chiller delivers 42.3 kW to 140 kW of cooling. Under these conditions the EER is between 5.7 and 6.1. At 43°C air and 32°C water, cooling drops to between 29.1 kW and 99 kW, while the EER stays between 3.0 and 3.2.

At 5°C air and 26°C water, Proheat II Standard delivers 23.2 kW to 80.1 kW of heating. Under the same conditions the COP is between 3.5 and 3.9. At 15°C air, output rises to between 30.5 kW and 110.5 kW. As the minimum operating air temperature is 0°C, winter capacity is assessed separately in cold regions.

The step names and the 0°C lower limit are the same in both families. AstralPool Proheat II Indoor is installed in a plant room with a duct-connected centrifugal fan and operates at a noise level of 59.2 dBA to 61.5 dBA. On Standard/Chiller the noise level is between 66.2 dBA and 72.5 dBA. The Indoor family has no version with cooling. At 25°C air, Standard 35 delivers 36.2 kW and Indoor-35 43.6 kW.

A three-phase 400 V supply is required; Proheat II Standard/Chiller does not run on single-phase. The rated current is 13.75 A on the Standard 35 step and 45.4 A on the Standard 120 step. The maximum current is between 23.4 A and 79.6 A. The cable section is given separately for each step; the panel and fuse are selected according to the maximum current.

Sound power is 66.2 dBA on steps 35 and 45, 72.5 dBA on step 60, and 71.1 dBA on steps 90 and 120. Sound pressure at five metres is between 60.9 dBA and 69.4 dBA. For a plant room installation that needs a lower noise level, the ducted Proheat II Indoor is considered; the Indoor family stays between 59.2 dBA and 61.5 dBA.

The COP value is 5.7 on step 35 and 5.2 on step 120; it is measured at 25°C air and 26°C water. At 15°C air the COP drops to between 4.6 and 4.9, and at 5°C air to between 3.5 and 3.9. Efficiency falls as the outdoor air gets colder; the model is selected according to the coldest operating month of the facility.
