AstralPool Proheat II Indoor is an industrial pool heat pump installed in an enclosed plant room and operated with an air duct. Çilek Havuz supplies Proheat II Indoor through quotes and as part of its projects. Its five models deliver 43.6 kW to 125.5 kW of heating at 25°C air and 26°C water. All models run on a 400 V three-phase supply and use a G2 titanium heat exchanger and R410A refrigerant. The minimum operating air temperature is 0°C.

Users and applications
Proheat II Indoor is intended for large facilities where the heat pump should not be visible outside or where there is no space for an outdoor unit. It is installed in the plant room of hotel and large facility pools. The airflow is directed outside the building through a centrifugal fan and a duct connection. The model is selected for the winter demand by looking at the heating output at 5°C air. Operating values are read on the digital display.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The unit is installed in the plant room, and the centrifugal fan outlet is connected to the air duct. The water inlet and outlet are connected to the line after the filter; the connection is 63 mm on models 35, 45 and 60 and 75 mm on models 90 and 120. The supply is 400 V three-phase, and the maximum current is between 23.9 A and 81.4 A. The cable section is given separately for each model in the data sheet.
- The model is selected according to the heat demand (43.6-125.5 kW).
- The unit and the air duct route are planned in the plant room.
- The fan outlet is connected to the air duct and the duct to the outside of the building.
- The water line is connected at 63 or 75 mm after the filter.
- The 400 V three-phase supply is run according to the maximum current.

Maintenance checkpoints
On an enclosed unit, maintenance focuses on keeping the air path open. The duct opening and coil are cleared of dust, and it is checked that the fan turns freely. The pH and hardness of the pool water are kept in balance. Operating values are monitored on the digital display or through the remote connection. The R410A circuit is opened only by an authorised service.

The fan carries the air outside the building through a duct. Without a duct, the unit draws back the air it has cooled and the heating output falls. The duct section and length are calculated in the installation project.

At 25°C air and 26°C water, Proheat II Indoor delivers 43.6 kW to 125.5 kW of heating. At 15°C air this range becomes 34.9 kW to 114.9 kW, and at 5°C air 27.4 kW to 90.3 kW. The model is selected according to the demand of the facility in its coldest operating month.

The step names and the 0°C lower limit are the same in both families. Proheat II Indoor is installed in a plant room with a duct-connected centrifugal fan; its noise level is between 59.2 dBA and 61.5 dBA. On AstralPool Proheat II Standard/Chiller the noise is between 66.2 dBA and 72.5 dBA, and a Chiller version with cooling is available. At 25°C air, Indoor-35 delivers 43.6 kW and Standard 35 delivers 36.2 kW.

The recommended water flow is 12-15 m³/h on Indoor-35, 25-35 m³/h on Indoor-60 and 50-70 m³/h on Indoor-120. It is checked during commissioning that the filtration pump provides this range. If necessary, a by-pass is installed in the line. The connection diameter is 63 mm on the smaller models and 75 mm on models 90 and 120.

Proheat II Indoor is compatible with remote connection (Fluidra Connect), and its operating values are monitored remotely. The digital display of the unit shows the same values in the plant room. In a facility with more than one pool, the unit is monitored without going down to the plant room. The network and equipment needed for the connection are planned separately during installation.

The refrigerant is R410A. The refrigerant charge is 6 kg on Indoor-35, 9 kg on Indoor-45, 12 kg on Indoor-60, 2 x 7 kg on Indoor-90 and 2 x 9 kg on Indoor-120. The first three models have one fan, the last two models two fans. The heat exchanger is G2 titanium and the casing magnesium-coated aluminium.
