Users and applications
RE/U 12M is chosen to heat a pool directly with electricity in a building without a three-phase supply. The decision is made first in the electrical installation: at full output the unit draws 53 A and needs a separate line for this current. The RE/U range is positioned for pools of 195 m³ and above. The output is managed in two stages of 6 + 6 kW; the flow sensor and digital thermostat control the heating.

Installation and compatible equipment
Before installation, a separate supply line with a 3 x 16 mm² cross-section is run from the panel to the heater. The heater is fitted on the straight section of line after the filter with PVC Ø63 outer or Ø50 inner diameter. The connection accepts both flow directions. The flow sensor does not bring the resistance element into operation while there is no water flow in the line.
- A separate fuse and residual current device suited to 53 A are prepared in the panel.
- The line after the filter is cut and the heater is placed with its fittings.
- The 3 x 16 mm² supply cable is connected and the earthing is measured.
- The filtration pump is started and water flow in the line is confirmed.
- The thermostat is set to the desired water temperature.

Maintenance checkpoints
RE/U 12M has no moving parts; maintenance is carried out through water chemistry and the electrical connections. Unbalanced pH increases scale build-up on the titanium element. As the unit draws high current, the panel and terminal connections are checked for loosening every season. Before winter, the line is drained and the body is protected against frost.

The line is protected in the panel by its own fuse and residual current device. It is checked in advance that the existing contracted power of the home can carry this load.

RE/U 12M manages its 12 kW output in two stages of 6 + 6 kW. Depending on demand, the unit delivers 6 kW with one stage and 12 kW with two stages. Heating is controlled by the digital thermostat to an accuracy of ± 0.5 °C. The set temperature and water temperature are monitored and changed on the LCD display at the top.

The RE/U range is chosen for pools of 195 m³ and above.

No, RE/U 12M does not bring the resistance element into operation when the filtration pump stops. When the flow sensor in the heater sees no water flow in the line, it cuts the heating. The operating hours of the heater are therefore planned together with the hours of the filtration pump. The timer on the unit is also set to the time window in which the filtration pump runs.

A resistance pool heater has a low investment cost and a high running cost. A heat pump has a higher investment cost and lower consumption; most of the heat is taken from the air. RE/U 12M heats the water directly with a resistance element and is easy to fit in-line. In a pool heated for long hours, the difference in consumption becomes decisive.

RE/U 12M is usually used together with a pool cover. The cover reduces heat loss from the surface at night and lowers the heating output required. As a result, the stages run for shorter periods. The Bubble Thermal Cover and Automatic Pool Cover are listed on the site as separate products. The cover is selected according to the pool size.

The body measures 600 x 800 x 143 mm and weighs 12 kg. The dimensions are given in the order length, height and depth; the body is only 143 mm deep. The connection is PVC Ø63 outer or Ø50 inner diameter. As the heater is fitted on the line after the filter, space is allowed beside the pipework.
