As the body is mounted vertically on the wall, it takes up no floor space. The temperature is adjusted between 16 - 40 °C with a rotary knob instead of a display. The range is offered for pools under 95 m³; RE/L 3, 6 and 9 are connected as single-phase or three-phase during installation.
- Narrow plant rooms and equipment cabinets with wall space
- Villa and garden pools under 95 m³
- Pools where simple temperature adjustment with a knob is wanted
- Homes with a single-phase or three-phase supply
// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
RE/L is fixed vertically to the wall with the clamp supplied with the product and added to the line after the filter with a PVC Ø50 or Ø63 connection. RE/L 3, 6 and 9 are connected as single-phase or three-phase during installation; RE/L 12 runs on three-phase only. The cable size is selected according to model and phase, and the line is protected by a separate fuse in the panel.
- The filtration pump is stopped and the heater circuit in the panel is switched off.
- The body is fixed to the wall with the clamp, level with the line after the filter.
- The PVC Ø50 or Ø63 fittings are solvent welded to the line.
- The phase connection is made and the earthing is checked.
- The pump is started and the thermostat knob is turned to the desired temperature.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
On RE/L, adjustment is mechanical; maintenance is limited to the thermostat knob, fittings and cable connections. The wall clamp is checked for loosening at the start of the season. The heater stays in operation only while the filtration pump is running. In preparation for winter, the water in the filtration line and the vertical body is drained, the fittings are loosened and the heater is protected against frost.
- The wall clamp is tightened at the start of the season.
- Fittings and gaskets are checked for leaks.
- The setting of the thermostat knob is checked at the start of the season.
- In winter, the water in the body is drained.

+90 216 475 39 37Zodiac RE/L is chosen for narrow plant rooms; its L-type body is mounted vertically on the wall and takes up no floor space. The body is 275 mm wide; its height is 550 mm on the 3 and 6 kW models and 730 mm on the 9 and 12 kW models. The weight is between 4 and 5 kg, and the body is fixed to the wall with a clamp.

The mechanical rotary thermostat of RE/L is adjusted between 16 and 40 °C. Adjustment is made with the knob on the body; there is no display or menu. The heating hours are determined by the timer of the filtration pump, because the heater operates only while water flows in the line. If precise, programmable adjustment is wanted, Zodiac Red Line with a digital thermostat is chosen.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The cable size is selected according to model and phase. RE/L 3 needs a 3 x 4 mm² cable on single-phase and 5 x 2.5 mm² on three-phase. For RE/L 6, 3 x 6 or 5 x 2.5 is recommended, and for RE/L 9, 3 x 10 or 5 x 4 mm². RE/L 12 is connected as three-phase only and needs a 5 x 4 mm² cable.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
Zodiac RE/L delivers 3 - 12 kW for pools under 95 m³ and is wall-mounted. Zodiac RE/U delivers 12 - 18 kW for pools of 195 m³ and above, is fitted in-line and works with two-stage output. RE/L uses a mechanical thermostat, RE/U a digital thermostat and LCD display.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The choice depends on heating time and space. An electric pool heater converts electricity directly into heat; a heat pump transfers heat from the air to the water and uses less electricity for the same heat. RE/L is mounted on the wall in the plant room and needs no outdoor unit. For a pool heated over long periods, a heat pump such as the AstralPool Eco Elyo Heat Pump is considered.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The RE/L range is designed for pools under 95 m³. The output is chosen as 3, 6, 9 or 12 kW; low output is preferred for a small, covered pool and high output for an uncovered garden pool. For pools of 195 m³ and above, Zodiac RE/U is considered, and for a pool heated year-round, a heat pump.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
Zodiac RE/L works with a water flow rate between 5 and 22 m³/h. This range is the same for all the 3, 6, 9 and 12 kW models. The heater operates only while water flows in the line, so the flow rate of the filtration pump must stay within the range. On Red Line, the range rises to 5 to 30 m³/h.
