Users and applications
Red Line 6 is chosen to heat the water directly with electricity in small-volume pools and spa pools. The pool volume determines the choice: the range is positioned for pools under 95 m³. As the connection is selected as single-phase or three-phase during installation, there is no need to look for a separate model for the building supply. As the body weighs 4 kg, it is added to the existing pipe in a narrow plant room.

Installation and compatible equipment
Red Line 6 is fitted in-line after the filter and connected to PVC Ø63 or Ø50 pipe. The connection type is selected during installation: a 3 x 6 mm² cable is recommended for 27 A on a single-phase line, and a 5 x 2.5 mm² cable for 9 A on a three-phase line. The pressure loss of the heater is low. The body measures 538 x 222 x 100 mm.
- The building supply is determined: single-phase or three-phase.
- A fuse and residual current device suited to the selected connection are prepared in the panel.
- The heater is fitted with its fittings on the section of line after the filter.
- The supply cable is connected and the earthing is measured.
- With the pump running, the thermostat is set to the desired temperature.

Maintenance checkpoints
Routine work on Red Line 6 consists of the tightness of the fittings and the scale balance of the water. The flow through the heater is kept within the 5-30 m³/h range; a clogged filter reduces the flow in the line. Filter cleaning therefore directly affects how the heater operates. Before winter, the water in the body is drained.

+90 216 475 39 37Zodiac Red Line 6 kW is the middle model of the range positioned for pools under 95 m³. It is used on its own in small garden pools, spa pools and covered pools. In a larger volume or an uncovered pool, the heating time becomes longer. In that case, the 9 or 12 kW models of the Red Line range are considered.

Yes, Red Line 6 can be connected to a 230 V single-phase household line. On a single-phase connection it draws 27 A, and a 3 x 6 mm² cable is recommended. If the building has a three-phase supply, it is connected at 400 V; the current falls to 9 A and a 5 x 2.5 mm² cable is sufficient. The connection type is selected on site during installation.

Zodiac Red Line 6 kW delivers 6 kW and, with its 4 kg body, is intended for pools under 95 m³. Zodiac RE/U 12 kW delivers 12 kW in two stages, weighs 12 kg and is connected as single-phase only. Red Line can be connected as single-phase or three-phase. Red Line is chosen for small pools and spas, RE/U for volumes of 195 m³ and above.

Red Line has a horizontal in-line body, carries a digital thermostat and LCD display, and its flow rate range is 5-30 m³/h. Zodiac RE/L, by contrast, has an L-shaped body and a mechanical rotary thermostat; its flow rate range is 5-22 m³/h.

On Red Line 6, the water temperature is set with the digital thermostat and held to an accuracy of ± 0.5 °C. The set temperature and the current water temperature are monitored on the LCD display. The timer is used to match heating with the hours when the filtration pump runs. The thermostat is set while the filtration pump is running.

The heating element of Red Line 6 is titanium, and the unit has a 2-year warranty. Its output is 6 kW and it weighs 4 kg. The same warranty period also applies to the RE/L and RE/U series. The period may differ for heat pumps; the Zodiac Z400 iQ heat pump has a 3-year warranty.
