Zodiac Red Line is a compact electric pool heater fitted in-line on the filtration line. Çilek Havuz supplies Red Line through quotes and as part of its projects. Four models are offered, at 3, 6, 9 and 12 kW; the range is designed for pools under 95 m³. The 3, 6 and 9 kW models are connected as single-phase or three-phase during installation. The flow rate range is 5 - 30 m³/h, and the body weighs 4 kg.

Users and applications
The range is offered for adding electric heating to the existing filtration line of pools under 95 m³. The body is 222 mm high, weighs 4 kg and is fitted in-line. As the flow rate range is 5 - 30 m³/h, it is also used on lines with a high-flow pump. As the phase is selected during installation, REDLINE 3, 6 and 9 fit both single-phase and three-phase lines.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
Red Line is fitted in-line after the filter and added to the line with a PVC Ø63 or Ø50 connection. The phase connection is selected during installation: REDLINE 3, 6 and 9 are connected as single-phase or three-phase, REDLINE 12 as three-phase only. The cable size varies with the phase; for example, REDLINE 9 needs a 3 x 10 mm² cable on single-phase and a 5 x 4 mm² cable on three-phase.
- The filtration pump is stopped and the heater circuit in the panel is isolated.
- The heater is placed on the straight section of line after the filter.
- The PVC fittings are solvent welded and the gasket seats are checked.
- Single-phase or three-phase connection is selected and the cable size is run accordingly.
- The pump is started, and once no air is seen in the line, the heater is switched on.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance on Red Line is limited to the fittings, cable connections and water chemistry. The heater stays in operation only while the filtration pump is running. If the water is hard, scale can build up on the titanium element, so the pH is kept balanced. In preparation for winter, the water in the line is drained, the fittings are loosened and the heater is protected against frost.

+90 216 475 39 37On Red Line, the output is chosen as 3, 6, 9 or 12 kW according to pool volume, use of a cover and target water temperature. The range is intended for pools under 95 m³. Low output is preferred for a small, covered pool, and 9 or 12 kW for an uncovered pool close to the upper size. The current the electrical line can carry also limits the choice.

REDLINE 3, 6 and 9 can be connected as single-phase or three-phase during installation; REDLINE 12 runs only on 380 - 400 V three-phase. On single-phase, the current rises noticeably: REDLINE 9 draws 40 A on single-phase and 13 A on three-phase. If the home panel cannot carry high current or the building has a three-phase supply, three-phase connection is chosen.

Zodiac Red Line is fitted in-line, works with a digital thermostat and passes a flow rate of 5 - 30 m³/h. Zodiac RE/L is wall-mounted with an L-type body, uses a mechanical rotary thermostat and works with a flow rate of 5 - 22 m³/h. The output range of the two series is the same, 3 - 12 kW; the choice depends on the space in the plant room and the preferred control.

An electric pool heater draws electricity equal to its rated output while it is running. The REDLINE 6 model runs at 6 kW and needs 27 A on single-phase and 9 A on three-phase. When the thermostat holds the water at the target temperature, the heater switches off; total consumption is determined by the pool cover and operating hours.

Red Line can be added later to an existing pool; it is fitted in-line on the line after the filter with a PVC Ø63 or Ø50 connection. No separate pump is needed; the heater works with the 5 - 30 m³/h flow rate of the existing filtration pump. The pressure loss is low. A separate supply line suited to the current of the model is run to the panel.

Heating is switched on from the LCD display of the unit while the filtration pump is running, and the target water temperature is entered. Red Line operates only while water flows in the line; when the pump stops, heating stops too. The digital thermostat holds the water to an accuracy of ± 0.5 °C. With the timer, the heating hours are placed within the filtration hours.

Zodiac REDLINE 12 draws a maximum of 18 A and runs only on a 380 - 400 V three-phase line. A 5 x 4 mm² cable is recommended for this current. The single-phase connection option is available on the 3, 6 and 9 kW models; the 12 kW model cannot be used in a single-phase home. The line is run as a separate supply in the panel.
