The Olot Filament Wound Filter is a filament wound pool filter with a nozzle plate, fitted on the filter line of public pools. Çilek Havuz supplies Olot through quotes and as part of its projects. Its seven body diameters range from Ø1050 to 2200 mm, the bed height is 1.2 m and the filtration velocity is 30 m³/h/m². Flow ranges from 25 to 114 m³/h. Each size is sold in 2.5 bar and 4 bar classes. A Ø400 mm lid and side manhole are standard.

Users and applications
Olot is chosen for public pool lines that need a system in which the filter bed rests on a nozzle plate. There is a single velocity option, 30 m³/h/m². Size selection therefore depends directly on flow: the Ø1050 mm body delivers 25 m³/h and the Ø2200 mm body 114 m³/h. For high flows, the connection diameter goes up to Ø225 mm.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
Olot is fitted between the pool pump and the pool return line. A pressure gauge, air bleed valve and water drain valve come with the body. A Ø400 mm top lid and side manhole are standard. The valve manifold and filter media are not included in the pack and are supplied separately. The connection diameter is Ø110-Ø225 mm depending on the body.
- The body is placed on a level, load-bearing base in the plant room.
- The valve manifold is fitted to the body separately.
- The pump and return lines are connected according to the connection diameter of the model.
- The media is filled through the Ø400 mm lid onto the nozzle plate; Active Glass Media can be chosen for this purpose.

Maintenance checkpoints
Routine work on Olot is reading the operating pressure on the pressure gauge. The pressure is kept below the 2.5 bar or 4 bar class. The air bleed valve is for releasing air from the filter and the water drain valve for emptying the body. The side manhole and Ø400 mm lid are opened to inspect the media only when the filter is out of service.
- The gauge reading is monitored during operation.
- The air bleed valve and water drain valve are checked.
- The seats of the side manhole and Ø400 mm lid are kept clean when they are closed.
- The connections are checked for leaks.

The difference lies in the filter system, velocity options and connection diameter. Olot is sold only with a nozzle plate system and at 30 m³/h/m². Oslo comes at velocities of 30 and 40 m³/h/m². On the same Ø1050 mm body, Olot uses a Ø110 and Oslo a Ø75 mm connection. Both have a bed height of 1.2 m.

The filter bed rests on the nozzle plate inside the body. All Olot models come with this system. A pressure gauge, air bleed valve and water drain valve are supplied with the pack. The media and valve manifold are separate from the pack. For media, a product such as Active Glass Media is considered separately.

Olot comes with a Ø400 mm filter lid and side manhole as standard. The media is filled through the Ø400 mm lid, and the side manhole is used to empty the media. The body is made of isophthalic polyester and fibreglass by the filament winding method. The lid and manhole are opened while the filter is out of service.

The connection diameter increases with the body. It is Ø110 on the Ø1050 mm body, Ø125 on the Ø1200 mm body, Ø140 on the Ø1400 mm body and Ø160 mm on the Ø1600 mm body. The Ø1800 mm body uses a Ø200 mm connection. Both the Ø2000 and Ø2200 mm bodies have a connection diameter of Ø225 mm.

The PR 04 suffix indicates the 4 bar pressure class. On the Ø1050 mm body, the code of the 2.5 bar model is 07355-120 and that of the 4 bar model is 07355-120 PR 04. Filter area, flow and connection diameter stay the same on both versions. If the line pressure exceeds 2.5 bar, the 4 bar version is chosen.

The filter bed of Olot is 1.2 m high. The body is made of isophthalic polyester and fibreglass and is filament wound. This construction is used in both the 2.5 bar and 4 bar classes. The bed is filled with filter media on site; the media and valve manifold are not included in the filter code.
