Zodiac Ei², Salt Chlorinator.
Zodiac Ei² is a compact salt chlorinator that fits the filtration return line and produces chlorine from the salt in the pool water. Çilek Havuz supplies Ei² through quotes and as part of its projects. The Ei² 12, Ei² 20 and Ei² 25 models produce 12, 20 and 25 g/h of chlorine and suit pools of 50, 90 and 110 m³. The unit is operated from an LCD LED display and works together with the filtration timer.

Users and applications
Zodiac Ei² is chosen for villa pools that need no app connection and where chlorination is managed from a simple display. The unit works with the filtration timer and produces chlorine while the pump runs. The model is chosen by pool volume. When the pool stays covered, Low mode reduces chlorine output.

Installation and compatible equipment
The electrolysis cell is fitted vertically in the return line after the filter; it suits DN50, DN63 and 1 ½" (48 mm) pipe. The control unit is mounted on the wall and, as the cell cable is 1.8 m long, it is placed close to the cell. The unit is supplied from the same timer circuit as the filtration pump.
- The cell is placed vertically in the return line after the filter.

- The unit is connected to the circuit supplied by the filtration timer.
- Salt is added to the pool and the concentration is brought to 4 g/l.
- The chlorine output rate and operating mode are selected on the LCD display.

Maintenance checkpoints
The cell dissolves scale itself with a fixed polarity reversal every 5 hours. The salt concentration is measured regularly and topped up before it falls below 3.0 g/l. Cell life is 7,500 hours. Before winter, the cell is removed and stored in a dry place.
- Salt concentration and pH are measured with pool water test strips and kits.
- The cell plates are checked visually for scale build-up.
- The unit is not run when the water temperature falls below 5 °C.
- Before winter, the cell is removed and stored in a frost-free place.

+90 216 475 39 37Zodiac Ei² comes in three capacities: Ei² 12 is sized for 50 m³, Ei² 20 for 90 m³ and Ei² 25 for 110 m³ pools. Their chlorine outputs are 12, 20 and 25 g/h and their power ratings 70, 110 and 140 W respectively. In a hot climate or a heavily used pool, the next model up is chosen.

Ei² is supplied from the same circuit as the filtration timer and produces chlorine only while the pump is running. When the pump stops, no water passes through the cell and the unit stops production. The daily filtration time is therefore set long enough to meet the chlorine demand of the pool, and it is extended in the summer months.

On a covered pool, Ei² is switched to Low mode and chlorine output is set to a rate between 0% and 20%. As the cover blocks sunlight, chlorine is used up more slowly, and normal output would then over-chlorinate the water. When the cover is opened, the unit is switched back to Normal mode.

Zodiac Ei²iQ connects to the Fluidra Pool app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and it also has Evo models that measure and dose pH. Zodiac Ei² has no connectivity, is operated from an LCD LED display and produces chlorine only. Chlorine capacities are the same in both families: 12, 20 and 25 g/h.

The recommended salt concentration for Ei² is 4 g/l, and the minimum operating value is 3.0 g/l. The salt is added to the pool before the unit is started and fully dissolved in the water. As rain and fresh water top-ups dilute the salt, the concentration is measured throughout the season and topped up as it falls.

Cell life is 7500 hours. The cell is made with SC6 ruthenium-coated titanium electrodes, and polarity reverses every 5 hours. The cell is fitted vertically, its cable is 1.8 m long and the unit has a 2-year warranty. As cell life is 7500 hours, replacement is planned according to seasonal operating time.

The cell connects to DN50, DN63 and 1 ½ inch (48 mm) pipe. The unit operates in water between 5 and 40 °C. The cell measures 16.5 x 22.5 x 12.5 cm and the control box 28.5 x 40.5 x 12.5 cm, and the cell is fitted vertically. A 1.8 m cable connects the cell to the control box.
