Users and applications
Intended for users looking for a cordless robot for large villa and residential complex pools up to 12 x 6 m. In the two-stage filter, the 150 µm layer separates leaves and sand and the 60 µm layer fine dust. This arrangement suits garden pools where leaves and dust arrive together. The waterline-only cycle is run separately for the band of dirt at the surface.

Installation and compatible equipment
RF 5400 iQ is not connected to the pool pipework; it comes with a charging station, a 150 / 60 µm two-stage filter and a universal hook. The charging station is placed outdoors, at the poolside near a socket. The iAquaLink app is installed, the robot is paired and one of the 4 cycles is selected. The robot is placed in the pool and taken out with the hook at the end of the cycle.

Maintenance checkpoints
The two layers of the two-stage filter are cleaned separately. The 150 µm coarse layer is emptied of leaves and sand, and the 60 µm fine layer is rinsed with water. When the fine layer clogs, suction drops, so it is checked after each cycle. The tracks and front brush are inspected for hair. If wanted, a 100 µm single-stage filter can also be fitted.

On RF 5400 iQ the two layers collect into a 4 litre canister with a filter area of 1066 cm². The layers are rinsed separately. If wanted, a 100 µm single-stage filter can also be fitted.

Yes, RF 5400 iQ cleans pools up to 12 x 6 m without a cable. The battery runs for 150 minutes on one charge and covers the full cycle, which includes the floor, walls and waterline. If a corded robot is preferred, RE 4400 iQ Voyager with an 18 m cable is chosen for the same size.

Both models offer a 12 x 6 m pool size, 150 minutes runtime and a 150 / 60 µm two-stage filter. RF 5600 iQ also comes with a remote control and a lift system. The remote communicates with the robot underwater by light signal, and the lift system makes it easier to take the robot out of the water. If these two functions are not needed, RF 5400 iQ is chosen.

RF 5400 iQ offers 4 cleaning cycles: floor only, full cleaning, smart cycle and waterline only. In the smart cycle, the robot sets the duration according to the pool. The cycle is selected from the iAquaLink app. The waterline-only cycle is used as a short additional run for the band of dirt at water level.

RF 5400 iQ is chosen if the pool is larger than 10 x 5 m or if there is a lot of fine dust. RF 5200 iQ stays at the 10 x 5 m limit, with a 100 µm single-stage filter and 120 minutes runtime. RF 5400 iQ goes up to 12 x 6 m, runs for 150 minutes and adds a 60 µm fine layer.

At the end of the cycle, RF 5400 iQ is pulled to the water surface with the universal hook and lifted out by its top handle. The robot weighs 9.2 kg. This model does not have a remote control or lift system. If the robot will be taken out of the water often, RF 5600 iQ Freerider, which comes with a lift system and remote control, is chosen.
