Users and applications
Intended for villa and garden pool owners who do not want a socket and cable at the poolside. The point to check is whether the pool is finished on one charge: a pool up to 10 x 5 m is scanned in one cycle on the 120 minute battery. There is no cable tangling, and the robot does not stay plugged into a socket at the poolside. For pools up to 12 x 6 m, the RF 5400 iQ Freerider is chosen.

Installation and compatible equipment
The robot does not work connected to the pool pipework or a socket. The battery is charged on a charging station that can be placed outdoors; a spot near the pool and a socket are enough for the station. The robot is paired with the iAquaLink app, released into the pool and completes its cycle on its own. When the work is done, it is lifted from the water surface with the universal hook.

Maintenance checkpoints
After every cycle, the filter basket is emptied and the 100 µm filter is washed with a hose. The battery is charged on the charging station after every use. Once out of the water, the robot is left so that its water drains. The tracks and front brush are checked for hair, leaves and sand; the transparent cover is not left dirty.

If there is no socket at the poolside or no cable is wanted, a cordless robot is chosen. The Zodiac FreeRider runs for 120 minutes on one charge and there is no cable tangling. If a long cycle is wanted every day, a corded robot is chosen; in a 9 x 4 m pool the RE 4200 Voyager is fed from the mains with a 15 m cable and does not wait for charging.

The robot is pulled to the water surface with the universal hook, then lifted by its handle. The hook comes with the product and fits on a pole such as the 5 m Aluminium Telescopic Pool Pole. As it comes out of the water, the water in the body drains and the robot gets lighter. The robot is set down on its side at the edge, and the filter basket is opened afterwards.
