Bellasun is chosen where an electrical line cannot be run to the pool edge, or where running one is not wanted. The solar panel charges the battery, and the battery performs 20 openings and closings on one charge. It is designed for easy installation on existing pools. The solar panel is black and the stand has a new-generation design.

Installation and compatible equipment
On Bellasun, the shaft and legs are installed at the pool edge and no electrical line is run. The solar panel charges the battery, and a charge protection regulator protects the battery. The motor is of the removable type. The panel is placed in a sunlit position away from shaded areas. As Cover Connect is not compatible with solar-powered retraction systems, it is not used with this system.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance on Bellasun centres on the solar panel and battery system. When the panel surface is kept clean and free of shade, the battery charges. As the battery performs 20 openings and closings on one charge, frequency of use is monitored against the state of charge. The anodised aluminium shaft and galvanised legs are kept clean. As the motor is removable, it is taken off the shaft when service is needed.

Installation on existing pools is therefore carried out without running cables. The panel needs sunlight for charging. It also works in locations with no electrical line.

No, Bellasun is not used with Cover Connect. Fluidra Cover Connect Pool Cover Wireless Control is compatible with all underwater and above-ground automatic covers except solar-powered retraction systems. As Bellasun is solar-powered, it falls outside this scope. Octeo and Sveltea work with this control.

The panel is placed in a sunlit position away from shaded areas. If the panel is left in shade, it cannot charge the battery sufficiently. The panel position is therefore chosen before installation. Keeping the panel surface clean is also needed for charging and is one of the routine maintenance tasks.
