Halogen PAR56 pool lighting is a 12 V AC underwater projector series used to replace PAR56 and dichroic halogen lamps. Çilek Havuz supplies Halogen PAR56 through quotes and as part of its projects. The 300 W halogen PAR56 bulb can be bought on its own; it also comes as a projector with a white or stainless steel frame for concrete pools and with a white frame for liner pools. A mini projector with a 50 W GX-5.3 bulb is also available.

Users and applications
Intended for villa owners, residential complexes and facility operators who want to replace a failed lamp with the same type in a pool with a working halogen installation. The bulb is bought on its own; a projector with a worn frame or body is replaced completely. In a concrete pool, the projector with a white or stainless steel frame is chosen; in a liner-lined pool, the liner projector.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The halogen projector is connected to the existing PAR56 niche and 12 V AC line; the niche and cable line do not change. The transformer is chosen to carry the total power of the connected lamps: one 300 W lamp needs a 300 VA transformer, two lamps a 600 VA transformer. The mini projector, with its plastic body, push-fits into the 15661 wall bushing.
- The pool lighting circuit is isolated at the panel.
- The old bulb or projector is removed from the niche and disconnected.
- The new bulb or projector is connected; the joint stays in a junction box that does not take in water.
- The projector is seated in the niche and the frame is secured; the lamp is switched on while the pool is full of water.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
When the halogen bulb reaches the end of its life, only the bulb is replaced; if the frame and body are sound, the projector stays in place. The gasket is replaced each time the lamp is removed. The projector is always operated underwater; when the pool is drained or the water level drops below the lamp, the lighting circuit is not switched on.
- The lamp is not switched on when the pool is empty.
- The gasket is replaced each time the unit is removed.
- The cable entry and junction box are checked for traces of water.
- The frame is wiped with a non-abrasive cloth.

+90 216 475 39 37Yes. The halogen PAR56 bulb is sold on its own, rated 300 W and 12 V AC; if the projector frame and body are sound, only the bulb is replaced. Before the replacement, the pool lighting circuit is isolated at the panel. When the projector is refitted in the niche, the gasket is replaced, and the lamp is switched on again only while the pool is full of water.

Halogen PAR56 projectors are always operated underwater. A 300 W halogen lamp heats up while lit and transfers this heat to the surrounding pool water. When the pool is drained or the water level drops below the lamp, the lighting circuit is not switched on; during maintenance, too, the lamp is not tested by lighting it outside the pool, but is first fitted in the niche.

The transformer is chosen by the total power of the connected lamps. A 300 W halogen projector needs a 300 VA transformer, two projectors a 600 VA transformer; the 50 W mini projector draws a much lower load. The pool transformer reduces 230 V AC mains to 12 V AC, and the cable between the transformer and the lamp does not exceed 40 m.

The concrete pool projector comes with a white or stainless steel frame and sits in the PAR56 niche of a concrete pool. The liner pool projector has a white frame and is made for liner-lined pools. All three carry the same 300 W, 12 V AC halogen PAR56 lamp; the choice is determined by the lining type of the pool.

It is. The LumiPlus Essential PAR56 LED lamp fits the same PAR56 niche and runs on 12 V AC; the niche is not removed. The white model draws 20 VA apparent power, far below the load a 300 W halogen lamp places on the transformer. For this reason, more than one LED lamp can be connected to the same transformer and the installation stays unchanged.

The mini projector runs on a 50 W GX-5.3 aluminised halogen bulb and, with its plastic body, push-fits into the wall bushing with code 15661. It is chosen for small-scale installations and for points where quick installation is wanted. It has a white frame, runs on 12 V AC and, like the larger projectors, is switched on only underwater, never when the pool is empty.

The concrete and liner pool projectors come with their 300 W, 12 V AC halogen lamp; the bulb is not bought separately. A pool lighting transformer with a 12 V AC output is needed for operation. The junction box and cable kit are listed on the site as separate products; the mini projector needs the 15661 wall bushing.
