Users and applications
Replacement lamps and sleeves are used in Heliox reactors whose UV-C output has dropped or whose lamp hours have run out. Heliox UV MP uses a medium pressure lamp; the lamp is chosen by the MP model number. Heliox UV LP uses a low pressure lamp; models from P20 EX to P70 and the stainless S.S. models take a 90 W lamp, models from P95 to P300 a 340 W lamp.

Installation and compatible equipment
Before replacement, the reactor is de-energised and the lamp is left to cool. The old lamp is pulled out of the quartz sleeve. The new lamp is fitted without touching its glass surface with bare hands. If the sleeve is being replaced, the seals are renewed as well. After start-up, the lamp counter is checked on LP models and the UV-C sensor value on MP models.
- The reactor model and unit code are read, and the lamp and sleeve are selected.
- The power is switched off and the lamp is left to cool.
- The old lamp is pulled out of the sleeve.
- The new lamp is fitted wearing gloves; if necessary, the sleeve and seals are renewed.
- The reactor is started and the counter or UV-C value is checked.

Maintenance checkpoints
In a UV system, efficiency depends as much on the cleanliness of the quartz sleeve as on the age of the lamp. A dirty or scaled sleeve blocks UV-C radiation before it reaches the water. The sleeve is removed and cleaned at every lamp replacement. On Heliox UV MP models with automatic wiper, the sleeve surface is wiped during operation; on models without a wiper, cleaning is done by hand.
- The lamp counter is monitored and lamp replacement is planned.
- The quartz sleeve is cleaned of scale and dirt.
- The sleeve seals are checked during lamp replacement.
- On MP models, the UV-C sensor value is read regularly.

+90 216 475 39 37The MP lamp is chosen by the model number of the reactor. The Heliox UV MP 50/80 lamp is used for MP 50 and MP 80, and the Heliox UV MP 140 lamp for MP 140. The Heliox UV MP 300/450/675 lamp is fitted to MP 300, MP 450 and MP 675. Models with automatic wiper use the same lamps.

The 90 W UV LP-25 lamp fits Heliox UV LP S.S. I45-I95 models and LP PE P20 EX-P70 models. The sleeve for these models is the UV LP-20/25/30 quartz sleeve. LP PE P95, P140, P180, P220, P260 and P300 models use the 340 W UV LP lamp and the 1100 mm quartz sleeve.

The quartz sleeve is replaced when it cracks or holds scale and stains that cleaning cannot remove. The sleeve is the glass jacket that separates the lamp from the water, and UV-C radiation passes through this glass. A clouded sleeve weakens disinfection even when the lamp is new. The sleeve is removed and checked at every lamp replacement.

Yes, Heliox UV MP models with automatic wiper use the same lamp and sleeve groups. For MP 50, MP 80 and MP 140, the Heliox MP 50/80/140 quartz sleeve is chosen. For MP 300, MP 450 and MP 675, the Heliox MP 300/450/675 quartz sleeve is used. The wiper slows down how quickly the sleeve gets dirty.

Heliox Replacement Lamp/Sleeve covers the lamps and sleeves of Heliox UV MP and Heliox UV LP reactors; it does not include electrodes. Neolysis Spare Parts covers the lamps, sleeves and electrodes of the AstralPool Neolysis S unit. The 90 W UV LP-25 lamp and the UV LP-20/25/30 quartz sleeve are the same part in both groups.

When replacing a UV lamp, the power is first switched off and the lamp is left to cool. The glass surface of the new lamp is not touched with bare hands; fingerprints reduce radiation. The sleeve seals are checked and renewed if necessary. After start-up, the lamp counter is reset on LP models and the UV-C sensor value is read on MP models. Leaks are also checked.
