Users and applications
The Neolysis S unit has two separate consumable parts: the UV lamp and the electrolysis electrode. The lamp is renewed when it reaches its 13,000 hour life, and the electrode within the range of 12,000 to 15,000 hours. Parts are selected by the chlorine output and UV power of the unit. The lamp and quartz sleeve are also shared with some Neolysis LS units.

Installation and compatible equipment
Before the lamp is replaced, the power to the unit is cut. The old lamp is drawn out of the quartz sleeve, and the new lamp is fitted without touching its glass surface with bare hands. If the sleeve is to be replaced, it is renewed together with its seals. When replacing the electrode, the old electrode is removed and a new one of the same capacity is fitted. Which part fits is read from the chlorine capacity and UV power on the unit's rating plate.

- If necessary, the quartz sleeve is renewed together with its seals.
- When replacing the electrode, the old electrode is removed and a new one of the same capacity is fitted.

Maintenance checkpoints
On Neolysis S, maintenance is planned with two counters: UV lamp hours and electrode hours. The quartz sleeve is periodically removed and cleaned of scale and dirt. For electrode life, the salt level is kept within the range of 5 to 6 g/L. The lamp is replaced at 13,000 hours and the electrode within the range of 12,000 to 15,000 hours.

The 80 g/h model takes the 90 W UV LP lamp, and the 120 g/h model the UV LP 2x90 W lamp kit. The 180 and 300 g/h models again use the 90 W UV LP lamp; the quantity matches the number of lamps in the unit.

The Neolysis S UV lamp is replaced at around 13,000 operating hours. Although the lamp keeps lighting after this time, its UV-C output decreases. Replacement time is monitored from the unit's lamp counter. When the lamp is replaced, the quartz sleeve is also checked; a cracked or permanently stained sleeve is renewed at the same time.

The electrode is chosen to match the chlorine output capacity of the unit. The 50 g/h electrode belongs to the 75 W UV model and the 80 g/h electrode to the 90 W UV model. The 120 g/h electrode fits the 2x90 W, the 180 g/h electrode the 3x90 W and the 300 g/h electrode the 4x90 W UV model. The standard, EXT-1 and EXT-2 versions use the same electrode.

No, the quartz sleeve is not replaced at every lamp change. The UV LP-20/25/30 quartz sleeve is a shared part for the 75 W and 90 W lamps. The sleeve is renewed when it cracks or holds scale that does not come off with cleaning. During a lamp replacement, the sleeve is removed and cleaned, and its seals are checked.

Neolysis Spare Parts covers the lamp, quartz sleeve and electrode for Neolysis S. Heliox Replacement Lamp/Sleeve covers the lamps and sleeves of the AstralPool Heliox UV MP and Heliox UV LP systems; it does not include electrodes. The 90 W UV LP lamp and the UV LP-20/25/30 quartz sleeve are the same part on both pages.

The lamps and quartz sleeve are shared between Neolysis LS and Neolysis S units. The compatible unit codes are listed in the technical row of each lamp; for example, the 75 W lamp fits units with codes 57753 and 66142. The electrodes, however, are for Neolysis S only. The Neolysis LS electrode is not part of this group.
