The AstralPool ARCOMAX Industrial Pool Robot is a corded industrial pool robot that cleans the floor of public pools up to 50 m long. Çilek Havuz supplies ARCOMAX through quotes and as part of its projects. It works with a 40 m cable and weighs 18 kg. It moves on tracks and finds its way with an infrared sensor, a gyroscope and a compass. Debris is collected in a twin bag filter that opens from below. The robot can also be driven by hand with a Bluetooth remote control.

Users and applications
AstralPool ARCOMAX is chosen for public pools longer than 30 m and up to 50 m. Pool length and the cable's reach to the farthest corner decide the choice. In hotel, municipal, sports centre and Olympic-size pools it is run while the facility is closed. An infrared sensor, a gyroscope and a compass keep the robot on course in a long pool.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The robot works with a control box and a 40 m cable; no fixed installation is needed. The control box is connected to the mains at the poolside, at a point that is not splashed. The cable is laid out straight, as a twisted cable pulls the robot off course. Normal operation and turbo mode are selected on the control box, and the start can be delayed to a later time.
- The control box is placed in a dry spot at the poolside and connected to the mains.
- The cable is plugged into the control box and unrolled with no knots.
- The robot is lowered slowly into the water and held until the air in the body has escaped.

- If needed, the robot is steered by hand with the Bluetooth remote.

Maintenance checkpoints
After every run, the robot is taken out of the water and the twin bag filter is opened from below, emptied and rinsed. The cable is checked for knots and crushing and wound up without tangles. The PVA brushes are replaced as they wear; with worn brushes the robot slips on a sloping floor. When not in use, the robot is not left in the sun.

AstralPool ARCOMAX works with a 50 m pool length and a 40 m cable. The AstralPool ARCO Industrial Pool Robot works with a 30 m pool and a 30 m cable. ARCOMAX weighs 18 kg and ARCO 9 kg. ARCOMAX has a wider suction inlet and a larger bag filter. If the pool is longer than 30 m, ARCOMAX is chosen.

ARCOMAX is not needed in a 25 m short-course pool. At this length the AstralPool ARCO Industrial Pool Robot with its 30 m cable is sufficient. If monitoring through an app is wanted, the Zodiac TRX 8700 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is chosen. AstralPool ARCOMAX is intended for pools longer than 30 m and up to 50 m.

A hotel pool is cleaned with a corded robot run while the facility is closed. In a pool longer than 30 m and up to 50 m, AstralPool ARCOMAX is used. The control box is placed at the poolside and the cable is laid out straight. While the robot scans the floor, debris is collected in the twin bag filter, and in the morning the bags are emptied and rinsed.

The AstralPool ARCOMAX filter is a twin bag accessed from below. The robot is taken out of the water and the bags are removed from underneath the body. The bags are emptied, rinsed with a pressure hose and refitted. In a heavily used pool this is done after every run. A full bag reduces suction and the robot leaves debris on the floor.

With the Bluetooth remote control, AstralPool ARCOMAX is driven by hand. The remote is used to take the robot directly to spots such as the foot of a ladder or around a lane anchor. In automatic operation, the robot finds its way with an infrared sensor, a gyroscope and a compass. For heavy dirt, turbo mode is selected on the control box.

ARCOMAX weighs 18 kg. The AstralPool ARCO Industrial Pool Robot weighs 9 kg, so ARCOMAX is about twice as heavy. The larger body is designed for pools up to 50 m and a 40 m cable. Because of the heavy body, carrying ARCOMAX at the poolside and lifting it out of the pool is planned for two people.
