Users and applications
Used in hotel, residential complex, campsite and sports facility pools up to 20 m long that many people use during the day. The robot is run while the facility is closed, usually at night. The person responsible for maintenance monitors the run from the iAquaLink app. As debris stays in the robot's own rigid canister, the load on the facility's filter is reduced.
- Hotel and holiday resort pools up to 20 m long
- Shared pools of residential complexes and apartment blocks
- Campsite and sports facility pools
- Facilities where maintenance is done on a night-time schedule
// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The Zodiac TRX 8500 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is brought to the pool edge on its caddy. The power supply is plugged into a socket with residual current protection and stands where water cannot reach it. The 25 m cable is laid out so that it reaches the farthest corner of the pool. For remote monitoring, the robot is paired with the iAquaLink app. No connection to the pool pipework is needed.
- The power supply is placed in a dry, shaded spot near a socket with residual current protection.
- The cable is laid out straight and lowered into the water from the edge near the middle of the pool.
- The robot is held in the water until the air has escaped, then released.
- It is paired with iAquaLink and a run schedule is set up.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
As the robot runs often in a commercial pool, the filter canister is emptied and rinsed after each cycle. The tracks, brushes and cable are checked on a regular maintenance list. If the cable coils, it is uncoiled and left on flat ground. In winter the robot is rinsed and stored in a dry, shaded place.
- The filter canister is emptied after each cycle.
- The cable is uncoiled once a week to remove coils.
- The tracks and brushes are inspected for wear once a month.
- The robot is pulled out of the water by the handle on its body.

+90 216 475 39 37For a hotel pool up to 20 m long, the Zodiac TRX 8500 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is chosen. With its 25 m cable the robot reaches the farthest corner of the pool. The tracked body sweeps the floor and walls, and debris stays in the robot's own canister. For a pool longer than 20 m and up to 25 m, the Zodiac TRX 8700 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is chosen.

The difference lies in pool length, cable and weight. TRX 8500 iQ works in pools up to 20 m long with a 25 m cable and weighs 11 kg. The Zodiac TRX 8700 iQ Commercial Pool Robot works in pools up to 25 m long with a 30 m cable and weighs 13 kg. The longest side of the pool is the deciding measurement.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The Zodiac TRX 8500 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is paired with the iAquaLink app and monitored from the phone. The run is started from the app, and the robot's status is shown on the phone screen. The facility staff member does not need to stay with the robot. In a pool with a night-time schedule, the robot is taken out of the water in the morning and the rigid filter canister is emptied.

The cable is longer to cover the distance from the power supply down to the pool edge and the robot's climb up the walls. The Zodiac TRX 8500 iQ Commercial Pool Robot has a 25 m cable for a pool limit of 20 m. This margin is used when the power supply is placed away from the pool. The cable is not extended by joining.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
Domestic corded robots are usually designed for pools up to 12 x 6 m and fall short in a hotel pool. The Zodiac RE 4600 iQ Robotic Pool Cleaner, with an 18 m cable, is in this class. For a long and heavily used pool, TRX 8500 iQ, with a 20 m pool limit and a 25 m cable, is chosen for the commercial load.
Çilek Havuz Corporate
The Zodiac TRX 8500 iQ Commercial Pool Robot is taken out of the water by the handle on top of its body. The robot weighs 11 kg and is heavier when its canister is full. It is first brought close to the waterline, and the water inside is allowed to drain. It is then placed on dry ground, its canister is emptied and it is dried in the shade. Pulling it by the cable damages the cable.
