CTX-10 is chosen to lower the pH of pool water that has risen above 7.6. High pH reduces the effect of the disinfectant and leads to scale build-up. Installation and compatible equipment
CTX-10 needs no installation; application is based on measurement. First pH is measured and the value is confirmed to be above 7.6. The dose is 150 g per 10 m³ of water and lowers pH by 0.2 units. After application, pH is measured again; if the target is not reached, the dose is recalculated according to the pool volume.

Maintenance checkpoints
CTX-10 is a consumable; renewal depends on the quantity remaining and the measured pH. The 1.5 kg pack suits small corrections and the 5 kg pack large volumes. The pack is kept closed. The granules are not mixed with chlorine products and are stored in their own pack. For reordering, the code is read from the label.

150 g of granules is added per 10 m³ of water, and this quantity lowers pH by 0.2 units. In larger pools the quantity increases in proportion to the volume, and in a smaller pool it decreases. After each application pH is measured again; if the target is not reached, the dose for the remaining reduction is recalculated and the application is repeated.

The choice depends on the pool volume and how much the pH is to be lowered. The code for the 1.5 kg pack is 03105 and for the 5 kg pack 74650. The standard pack quantity is 20 for 1.5 kg and 4 for 5 kg. The 5 kg pack is used for large volumes, the 1.5 kg pack for small corrections.

CTX-10 lowers high pH, CTX-20 raises low pH. CTX-10 is used when pH is above 7.6, CTX-20 when pH is below 7.2. CTX-10 prevents scale formation, CTX-20 metal corrosion. The two are not used at the same time; the pH measurement determines the choice. The pack options also differ: CTX-10 1.5 and 5 kg, CTX-20 1 and 5 kg.

pH is measured with Pool Water Test Strips & Kits. The 7-parameter and 3-parameter test strips read pH. Measurement is made before and after applying CTX-10. This shows whether the value has fallen below 7.6 and whether the granules are needed again, so unnecessary dosing is avoided.
