Zodiac Uranus is a titanium plate heat exchanger that transfers heat from a combi boiler, boiler, heat pump or solar circuit to the pool water. Çilek Havuz supplies Uranus through quotes and as part of its projects. The four capacities deliver 55 kW, 80 kW, 120 kW and 240 kW at a 90°C inlet. Each capacity is offered as Bare and Plus; the Plus model has a digital thermostat, flow sensor and 230 V supply.

Users and applications
Zodiac Uranus is chosen for villa and residential complex pools that are to be connected to the existing heating system of the home. Besides combi boilers and boilers, it is also used with heat pump, geothermal and solar circuits. The Plus model is chosen for projects wanting a ready-fitted thermostat and sensor, and the Bare model for projects that install the controls in the pipework.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
Uranus is installed close to the hot water source, after the pool filtration, with an L-type installation and bypass connection. The pool side is connected with PVC Ø50; on the Bare model, the boiler side has Ø20/22 or Ø26/28 connections. The Plus model plugs into a 230 V single-phase socket. If the source is geothermal or a heat pump, an expansion tank is added to the boiler circuit.
- The heat exchanger is placed close to the hot water source, at a point that reaches the filter outlet.
- A bypass with valves is installed at the filter outlet, and the pool side is connected with PVC Ø50.
- The boiler flow and return lines are connected to the boiler ports of the heat exchanger.
- On the Plus model, the thermostat is set and the unit is plugged into a 230 V socket.
- The first heating is carried out while pool water flows, and the connections are monitored for leaks.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance on Uranus consists of monitoring the plate pack and connections. The narrow channels between the plates are sensitive to scale and sediment; when the heating time becomes longer, the plate pack is removed and cleaned. Before winter, the pool side is drained. The flow sensor is tested at the start of the season; on the Plus model, the thermostat setting is also checked.

+90 216 475 39 37Uranus Bare consists only of the titanium plate heat exchanger and a flow sensor. The thermostat and electrical connection are installed on the pipework side. Uranus Plus comes ready to install with a thermostat with digital display, a flow sensor and a 230 V supply with plug. Plus models are heavier: Uranus 35 Bare weighs 14 kg, the Plus 29 kg.

Yes. The boiler side of Uranus can be supplied from a heat pump or geothermal circuit in the home; in that case, an expansion tank is added to the circuit. As these sources supply water at a low temperature, the model is selected by its output at 45°C: at this temperature Uranus 35 delivers 15 kW and Uranus 240 delivers 68 kW.

The model is selected according to the output the pool needs and the temperature of the water from the source. Uranus 70 delivers 80 kW at a 90°C inlet, 38 kW at a 60°C inlet and 21 kW at a 45°C inlet. The pool-side flow rate also increases with the model: 2 m³/h for Uranus 35 and 8.7 m³/h for Uranus 240.

Zodiac Uranus is a titanium plate heat exchanger and is installed with an L-type installation and bypass connection. Zodiac Heat Line has titanium tubes and a plastic casing and is fitted directly in the line without a bypass. Uranus rises to 240 kW at a 90°C inlet; Heat Line, with 20 kW, 40 kW and 70 kW capacities, is aimed at small and medium pools.

The hot water circuit of a solar installation can supply Uranus. Water from the solar circuit is often at a lower temperature than boiler water; the model is therefore selected by its output at 60°C or 45°C. On the pool side, the operating temperature does not exceed 40°C, and on the boiler side the limit is 90°C.

The Plus model comes with a 230 V single-phase supply with plug, and its thermostat runs on this supply. The thermostat monitors the pool water temperature, and the flow sensor stops heating when pool water is not flowing. The socket location is protected from water splashes, and the line is supplied through a residual current device.

The pool-side connection of Uranus is PVC Ø50 on all models. On the boiler side, the Uranus 35, 70 and 120 Bare models have Ø20/22 connections and Uranus 240 Bare has Ø26/28. The boiler-side flow rate is 1.6 m³/h for Uranus 35 and 6.3 m³/h for Uranus 240; the pipe diameter is checked against this flow rate.
