Zodiac Waterheat EVO is a titanium tube heat exchanger that heats pool water with hot water from the combi boiler or boiler in the home. Çilek Havuz supplies Waterheat EVO through quotes and as part of its projects. With 90°C boiler water at the inlet, the eight models deliver between 20 kW and 450 kW. The boiler circuit is rated for 10 bar and the pool circuit for 3 bar operating pressure. The exchanger does not include a flow sensor, thermostat or pump.

Users and applications
Zodiac Waterheat EVO is chosen for pools where a combi boiler, boiler or hot water cylinder is already running in the home or facility. No new heat source is installed; the boiler water gives up its heat in the exchanger body without mixing with the pool water. The small models are used in villa pools, and the high-output models in large facility pools with a central boiler room.

Installation and compatible equipment
Waterheat EVO is installed in the pool filtration line after the filter, in an L-type arrangement with a bypass connection. The boiler side is connected as a separate circuit; this circuit has a circulation pump and a thermostat that monitors the pool water temperature. As the exchanger has no flow sensor or regulation, this control is provided in the installation.
- The model is selected according to the boiler water inlet temperature and the output the pool requires.
- A bypass with valves is installed at the filter outlet using the PVC Pool Ball Valve (Two-Way).
- The exchanger is connected to the bypass branch, and the boiler flow and return lines to the boiler ports.
- A circulation pump and a thermostat are added to the boiler circuit.
- The pool flow rate is set with the bypass valves, and tightness is checked during the first heating.

Maintenance checkpoints
Waterheat EVO has no moving parts; maintenance consists of monitoring the connections on the pool water and boiler water sides. In hard water, deposits can build up on the outer surface of the tubes. When the heating time becomes longer, the exchanger is removed and cleaned. Before winter, the pool side is drained; where there is a risk of frost, the boiler side is also protected.

Zodiac Waterheat EVO transfers the heat of the hot water from the combi boiler or boiler through titanium tubes without mixing it with the pool water. The exchanger model is chosen according to the output the combi boiler can allocate to the pool. A circulation pump and a thermostat that monitors the pool water are added to the boiler circuit.

The exchanger output falls as the temperature of the water coming from the boiler drops. The TIT-40 model delivers 40 kW at a 90°C inlet, 20 kW at a 60°C inlet and 10 kW at a 45°C inlet. For sources that operate at lower temperatures, such as a condensing combi boiler or a heat pump, the model is chosen on the basis of the 45°C or 60°C value.

A pool heat exchanger is connected to the return line after the filter. Waterheat EVO is installed in an L-type arrangement with a bypass connection: one valve is placed on the main line and two valves on the exchanger branch, and part of the pool flow is passed through the exchanger. The boiler side is a separate circuit; the two waters do not mix.

The model is chosen according to the output the pool requires and the boiler water temperature. TIT-20, TIT-40 and TIT-60 are intended for small and medium-sized pools, and their boiler connections are G 3/4 threaded. The models from TIT-105 to TIT-450 are for large pools; the boiler connection is G 1 1/2 threaded and the boiler flow rate starts at 6.6 m³/h.

Waterheat EVO is a multi-tube titanium exchanger, while Zodiac Uranus is a titanium plate exchanger. Waterheat EVO has no flow sensor or thermostat; Uranus has a flow sensor, and the Plus model also has a digital thermostat and a 230 V supply. Waterheat EVO goes up to 450 kW, while Uranus stops at 240 kW.

A heat pump heats the pool with heat taken from the outside air and its own electricity. Waterheat EVO does not produce heat of its own; it transfers the heat produced in the combi boiler or boiler to the pool water. In a building with a boiler, no additional heat generator is installed. For a pool without a boiler, a heat pump such as Zodiac Z550iQ is chosen.

On Waterheat EVO, the pool side operates at a maximum of 3 bar and the boiler side at a maximum of 10 bar. The body is titanium and the coil is titanium alloy. The two circuits are separate, and the boiler water does not mix with the pool water. The pressure of the boiler line must stay below the 10 bar limit. The product has a 2-year warranty.
