Zodiac Z350iQ is a full inverter pool heat pump with a compact casing that fits into narrow spaces. Çilek Havuz supplies Z350iQ through quotes and as part of its projects. The casing has a 500 x 500 mm base and a height of 883 mm. With the air at 26°C, the three models deliver a maximum output of 11 kW, 14 kW and 16 kW; all run on 220 - 240 V single-phase. The unit extends the season down to -7°C outside air.

Users and applications
Zodiac Z350iQ is chosen for villa and detached house pools where the garden space available for a heat pump is limited. The unit is used to extend the swimming season in spring and autumn; it is not chosen for continuous heating in midwinter. As all models are single-phase, it is also chosen for homes without a three-phase supply.

Installation and compatible equipment
Z350iQ is the Zodiac heat pump that can be installed closest to a wall. Air is blown upwards; the digital display is on the rotating top section and is turned towards the accessible side. The water connection is made to the return line after the filter with the PVC union, reducer and 45° fittings supplied with the product.
- A narrow but well-ventilated installation point is chosen, avoiding the area in front of windows.
- The unit is seated on a level base with anti-vibration mounts.
- The rotating top section is turned so that the display faces the accessible side.
- The water inlet and outlet are connected to the filter outlet with the PVC union Ø40 and Ø40/50 reducer.
- The single-phase line is connected to a separate circuit breaker with a 3 x 2.5 mm² cable.

Maintenance checkpoints
The routine work on Z350iQ is cleaning the air intake coil behind the perforated front panels. At the end of the season, the water line is drained and the unit is covered with the winter cover. The unit is not run when the outside air falls below -7°C. At the start of the season, the condensate drain, union seals and electrical connections are checked.

Z350iQ is chosen for extending the season rather than for year-round use, and operates down to -7°C outside air. With the air at 15°C, the MD4 model delivers 8 kW and the MD6 model 12 kW. For a pool that is also to be heated in midwinter, Zodiac Z550iQ, which operates down to -15°C, or Zodiac Z400iQ, which operates down to -12°C, is chosen.

The choice is based on the pool volume, the climate and whether the pool is covered. With the air at 26°C, MD4 delivers up to 11 kW and has energy class A. MD5 delivers up to 14 kW and MD6 up to 16 kW, and both have energy class B. For an uncovered, windy pool, the next model up is chosen.

Z350iQ adjusts its output with full inverter technology, while Zodiac Z400iQ uses ON-OFF operation. Z350iQ is single-phase only and delivers up to 16 kW; Z400iQ reaches 22 kW with its three-phase models. The base of Z350iQ is 500 x 500 mm, and the base of Z400iQ is 1030 x 449 mm.

Boost mode runs at full output to heat the pool quickly at the start of the season. Ecosilence mode runs at low output with the least electricity and the lowest noise. Smart mode sits between these two and adjusts the output to the needs of the pool itself. The mode is selected on the unit's display or in the Fluidra Pool app.

The sound pressure of Z350iQ at 10 m is between 32 and 42 dBA depending on the model. The lowest values are measured in Ecosilence mode and the highest in Boost mode. For night-time use, Ecosilence mode is selected; the unit is not installed below a bedroom window or close to the neighbour's boundary.

R32 is used as the refrigerant. The refrigerant charge is 0.7 kg on MD4, 0.85 kg on MD5 and 0.95 kg on MD6, increasing with the output of the model. The unit has a 3-year warranty. The same R32 refrigerant is also used in the Z400iQ and Z550iQ families; on Z550iQ the charge is between 0.88 and 2.18 kg.
