AstralPool Basic NL / Basic ND is a counter-current system with a stainless steel panel and its own pump, built into the pool wall. Çilek Havuz supplies Basic NL and ND through quotes and as part of its projects. It comes in three sets: Basic NL for concrete pools, Basic ND for concrete pools and Basic ND for liner pools. Every set includes a 5.5 HP three-phase pump, a 60 m³/h suction intake and a power control box. Basic NL delivers a flow rate of 27-40 m³/h, Basic ND 60 m³/h.

Users and applications
Basic NL / ND is chosen for projects that need a strong, continuous current for swimming in place. The set is offered as suitable for commercial pools. The pool type determines the choice first: for a liner pool, only the Basic ND liner set is available. In a concrete pool, Basic NL is chosen for an adjustable flow rate of 27-40 m³/h and Basic ND for a flow rate of 60 m³/h.

Installation and compatible equipment
The Basic NL / ND set is fitted into the pool wall with its front panel and suction intake. The nozzle, suction intake, 5.5 HP pump and power control box are supplied with the set. The pump is fed from a three-phase line and operated via the power control box. As the body is selected according to the pool type, the concrete and liner sets are not interchangeable.
- The set matching the pool type is selected: concrete or liner.
- The front panel and the 60 m³/h suction intake are fitted into the pool wall.
- The pump is connected to the nozzle and suction intake with hydraulic pipework.
- The power control box is connected to the pump and to the three-phase supply.

Maintenance checkpoints
On the Basic NL / ND set, the panel and suction intake in contact with the water are AISI 316 stainless steel. Throughout its service life, the panel surface, the suction intake grille and the nozzle outlet are kept clean. If the current weakens, the suction intake and hydraulic pipework are checked. Pump noise and the power control box connections are also monitored.
- The front of the suction intake is checked for blockages.
- The stainless steel panel surface is cleaned of deposits.
- Any change in pump noise is monitored.
- Hydraulic connections are checked for leaks.

Basic ND delivers a flow rate of 60 m³/h; it has a front panel with an air-water mixing nozzle and an illuminated piezoelectric ON-OFF button. On both sets the pump is 5.5 HP three-phase.

Yes, Basic ND has a separate set for liner pools. The manufacturer code of this set is 66044. The Basic ND concrete set comes with code 65498. Basic NL is offered only as a concrete pool set. If a counter-current is wanted in a liner pool, the Basic ND liner set is chosen.

No, the pump of all three sets is fed by a three-phase supply. The sets include a 5.5 HP pump and a power control box. If the building has only a single-phase line, a three-phase supply is needed for this set. The pump is operated by connecting it to the three-phase line via the power control box. There is no difference between the Basic NL and Basic ND sets in this respect.

Every set includes a nozzle, a 60 m³/h suction intake, a 5.5 HP pump and a power control box. On Basic NL the nozzle has an air-water feed. No, the Basic NL / ND set comes with its own 5.5 HP pump. The power control box is also included in the set. The Jet Stream Pool Counter-Current Pump is a pump sold separately, with power options of 1.5-4 kW. For a pool where a ready-made set with a stainless steel panel is wanted, no additional pump is ordered.
