The Marlin Counter-Current Swimming System is a counter-current kit supplied with its nozzle, control unit and pump, allowing swimming in place in the pool. Çilek Havuz supplies Marlin through quotes and as part of its projects. There are three models: 2.2 kW single-phase, 2.2 kW three-phase and 3.3 kW three-phase. The motor frequency is 50 Hz. The kits weigh 37.4 and 42.2 kg. A grab handle and hydromassage hose are optional.

Users and applications
Marlin is a counter-current system sold as a kit that creates a current for swimming in place in the pool. The nozzle, housing or wall passage, control box and pump come in the same pack; there is no need to source the parts separately. The supply line determines which of the three models is chosen: 30 II is single-phase, while 30 III and 45 III are three-phase.

Installation and compatible equipment
The Marlin kit sits in the pool wall with its nozzle front plate. Marlin 30 models come with a plastic housing and control box, while Marlin 45 III comes with a concrete wall passage and control panel. The pump is supplied from a line that matches the voltage of the model. Grab handles and a hydromassage hose can be added to the system as options.
- The nozzle front plate and the housing or wall passage are set into the pool wall.
- The pump is connected to the nozzle in the kit with a hydraulic line.
- The control box or panel is connected to the pump and the supply.
- The supply is taken from a line that matches the phase and voltage of the model.

Maintenance checkpoints
As the Marlin kit consists of the nozzle, housing, control and pump, the connections of these four parts are monitored throughout its service life. The strength of the flow from the nozzle, the pump noise and the tightness of the hydraulic connections are checked. On the electrical side, the control box or panel and the pump connection are inspected.

Only Marlin 30 II does. This model runs on a 230 V single-phase supply with a 2.2 kW pump. Marlin 30 III and Marlin 45 III require a 400 V three-phase line. If the electrical line is not three-phase, 30 II is chosen; the panel and cable cross-section are planned according to the pump power.

The difference lies in pump power and kit contents. Marlin 30 III comes with a 2.2 kW (3 HP) pump, a plastic housing and a control box. Marlin 45 III has a 3.3 kW (4.5 HP) pump, a concrete wall passage and a control panel. Both are 400 V three-phase; the kits weigh 37.4 and 42.2 kg.

Those who want a complete set choose the kit; those who select their own nozzle choose the pump. With Marlin, the nozzle, housing or wall passage, control and pump come in the same pack. The Jet Stream Pool Counter-Current Pump is a 1.5-4 kW pump that connects to a counter-current nozzle; its nozzle is chosen separately.

Yes, both are optional. Grab handles and the hydromassage hose are not included in the kit and are added to the system as needed. The kit consists of the nozzle, control and pump. Extra parts are specified separately when ordering; when choosing the model, the kit contents and the list of extra parts are considered together.

It can, but a separate gasket kit is required. As Marlin 45 III comes with a concrete wall passage, it suits a reinforced concrete pool. For sealing in a liner pool, the gasket kit is ordered separately. The pool type compatibility of the Marlin 30 models is confirmed before ordering.
