The Norm 17.5 L Pool Skimmer is an ABS skimmer with a volume of 17.5 litres that collects water from the pool surface and passes it to the filtration line. Users and applications
Norm 17.5 L is a skimmer that collects leaves and debris from the pool surface and sends the water to the filtration line. Its volume is 17.5 litres and its recommended flow rate is 7.5 m³/h. There is a separate model for concrete pools and a separate flanged model for liner and prefabricated pools. Four colour options allow it to match the pool lining.

Installation and compatible equipment
The Norm 17.5 L body is set into the skimmer recess in the pool wall; its bottom connection is 1½ or 2 inch. The liner and prefabricated pool model comes with a flange. The weir flap, flow regulating plug, lid height adjustment and basket are supplied with the skimmer. The overflow connection is installed separately.

Maintenance checkpoints
Routine work consists of emptying the leaves and debris collected in the basket. The UV-protected ABS body is resistant to sunlight. The weir flap and lid height adjustment are checked against the water level. After emptying, the lid is seated back in place.

- The weir flap is checked to move freely.
- The bottom connections are checked for leaks.

+90 216 475 39 37The structure of the pool determines the choice. Straight-body models are used for concrete pools, and flanged models for liner and prefabricated pools. Both versions are available in white, beige, grey and anthracite. Body size, flow rate and connections are the same in both versions; the difference is the flange.

It is available in four colours: white, beige, grey and anthracite. The colour is chosen to match the pool lining and grate colours. Both the concrete and liner models are available in all four colours. The body material is UV-protected ABS in every colour; the colour choice does not change the flow rate, connection or weight.

The recommended flow rate is 7.5 m³/h. The number of skimmers is determined by the water surface area of the pool and increases as the surface grows. The flow rate of the filtration line is also taken into account when calculating the number. Each Norm 17.5 L skimmer has a volume of 17.5 litres and covers part of the line flow.

The choice depends on material and weight. Norm 17.5 L is UV-protected ABS and weighs 5.61 kg. The Wide Mouth Stainless Steel Pool Skimmer is AISI-316L stainless steel, has a 500 or 650 mm mouth and weighs 14.84-15.84 kg. Both have a recommended flow rate of 7.5 m³/h.

The bottom connection is 1½ and 2 inch. There is also a separate connection for overflow. The connection size is the same on the concrete and liner models; the only difference is the flange. If the suction line diameter does not match these sizes, a suitable adaptor is fitted on the line side. The bottom connection size is compared with the line diameter before installation.

The weir flap, flow regulating plug, lid height adjustment and basket come with the skimmer. The body is UV-protected ABS and has a volume of 17.5 litres. The liner and prefabricated pool models also have a flange. The lid and basket do not need to be ordered separately; the skimmer can be put into service after installation.

The weight is 5.61 kg on all models. The concrete and liner models have the same weight in all four colours. As the body is ABS, it is lighter than stainless steel skimmers; the Wide Mouth Stainless Steel Pool Skimmer weighs 14.84-15.84 kg. Floor, handling and recess planning are based on this value.
