The Zodiac CS Cartridge Filter is a cartridge filter that cleans pool water by passing it through a cartridge element. Çilek Havuz supplies CS through quotes and as part of its projects. There are two models: the CS 100 works with 9.3 m² of filtration area and 22.7 m³/h flow, the CS 150 with 14 m² of area and 28.4 m³/h flow. The cartridge filters down to 15-20 µm. The body is fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene.

Users and applications
Zodiac CS is chosen for filtration lines that need fine filtration without using backwash water. The model is set by the flow of the pump: the CS 100 delivers 22.7 m³/h and the CS 150 28.4 m³/h. Both models belong to the same series; the difference is the filtration area. It is chosen together with the Zodiac FloPro series as the pump.

Installation and compatible equipment
Zodiac CS is fitted between the pump discharge line and the return line to the pool. Connection is made with Ø63 and Ø50 mm unions, and connection fittings are supplied in the package. An optional connection kit for quick connection to the pump is also available separately. No valve or filling is needed; the cartridge does the filtering.
- The filter is placed on a level, dry surface.
- The pump line is connected to the inlet union and the pool return to the outlet union.
- The lid ring is closed and the connections are checked for leaks.
- The pump is started and the initial pressure on the gauge is noted.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintaining Zodiac CS means washing the cartridge and renewing it when necessary. If the pressure on the gauge rises noticeably above the initial value, the pump is stopped, the lid ring is opened and the cartridge is removed and washed with water. The cartridge is refitted and the ring is closed. A worn cartridge is replaced using the cartridge code of the model.
- The gauge pressure is monitored; a rise shows that cleaning is needed.
- The lid ring is not opened until the pump is stopped.
- The cartridge is removed, washed and seated back correctly.
- The union connections are checked for leaks.

The Zodiac CS cartridge filters down to 15-20 µm. This value is the same for the CS 100 and CS 150. The CS 100 has 9.3 m² and the CS 150 14 m² of filtering area. The difference is not in fineness but in area and flow: the CS 100 delivers 22.7 and the CS 150 28.4 m³/h. The cartridge is also available separately under the model's own code.

No, Zodiac CS uses a cartridge and is not backwashed with a valve. The time for cleaning is shown by a rise in pressure on the gauge. The cartridge is removed, washed with water and refitted. For this reason, no backwash water is used. The maximum operating pressure is 3.5 bar; pressure should not exceed this value.

The choice is set by the flow of the pump. If the pump delivers up to 22.7 m³/h, the CS 100 is enough. If the pump delivers more and does not exceed 28.4 m³/h, the CS 150 is chosen. If the pump flow exceeds the filter flow, the cartridge surface cannot carry that flow. For this reason, the rated flow on the pump label is taken as the basis when choosing the model.

The body is made of fibreglass-reinforced polypropylene. The cartridge is reached by removing the top lid ring; the pressure gauge is on the top lid. The package includes a 15-20 µm cartridge, union connection fittings, a pressure gauge and an air bleed valve. The maximum operating pressure is 3.5 bar and connection is made with Ø63 and Ø50 mm unions.
