Sena is a self-priming, single speed pool pump connected to the filtration line of small and medium-sized pools. Çilek Havuz supplies Sena through quotes and as part of its projects. Its eight models range from 3.5 to 16 m³/h nominal flow and from 0.25 to 0.94 kW motor power. The 75, 100 and 125 models are available as single-phase or three-phase. All models have a D50 connection and an IP55 protection class.

Users and applications
Sena is chosen as the circulation pump in small and medium-sized pools, passing water through the filter and returning it to the pool. The model is determined by the flow the pool's filtration line requires: the smallest, 33M, delivers 3.5 m³/h and the largest, 125M and 125T, 16 m³/h nominal flow. Its compact body eases space constraints in narrow plant rooms.

Installation and compatible equipment
Sena is installed between the suction line from the pool and the filter; D50 unions come with the pump. As it is self-priming, its body is filled with water before the first start. Single-phase models are connected to a 230 V line and three-phase models to a 230-400 V line, with motor protection.
- The pump is placed on a level, dry floor in front of the filter in the plant room.
- The suction line is connected to the front union, and the discharge outlet to the Multiport Valve inlet of the filter.
- The body is filled with water through the clear lid and the lid is closed.
- Power is supplied via the Electrical Control Panel or a motor protection device suited to the phase.

Maintenance checkpoints
The routine task is removing the leaves and debris that collect in the 0.9 litre strainer housing while the pump is switched off. As the housing has a clear lid, how full it is can be seen from outside. After cleaning, the lid is seated back in place and closed. If there is a noticeable change in the operating sound, the suction line and the housing are checked.
- The strainer housing is opened and cleaned while the pump is switched off.
- The suction line is checked for air leaks.
- The D50 union connections are checked for leaks.

+90 216 475 39 37The model is chosen according to the flow the filtration line requires. 33M delivers 3.5 m³/h, 50M 7.5 m³/h, 75M and 75T 11.2 m³/h, 100M and 100T 13.8 m³/h, and 125M and 125T 16 m³/h nominal flow. The required flow is found by dividing the pool volume by the turnover time; for a residential pool, the turnover time is 4 to 6 hours.

The building's electrical supply decides. 33M and 50M come only as single-phase 230 V. The 75, 100 and 125 models have both a single-phase M and a three-phase T version; the T versions are connected to a 230-400 V line. M and T models with the same number have the same flow rate and motor power.

The maximum power Sena draws from the mains is between 0.46 kW and 1.19 kW depending on the model. 33M has the lowest consumption, 125M and 125T the highest. The rated power at the motor shaft is in the range of 0.25-0.94 kW. Daily consumption is calculated together with the number of hours the pump runs for filtration.

The difference is in flow rate, head and motor power. 33M delivers 3.5 m³/h nominal flow, 9 m maximum head and 0.25 kW power. 125M has values of 16 m³/h, 16.5 m and 0.94 kW. Both have a D50 connection; 125M weighs 13.75 kg and 33M 10.2 kg.

Sena stays within 3.5-16 m³/h and all its models have a D50 connection; these flows are given at 8 m head. The flows of the Verdon ES range are 7-31 m³/h at 10 m head, and its larger models have D63 and D75 connections. If a higher flow or a D63 or D75 connection is needed, the Verdon ES range is considered.

It does not. The body of Sena has a 0.9 litre strainer housing with a clear lid. Leaves and coarse debris from the suction line are held in this housing and do not pass into the pump body. As the lid is clear, the time for cleaning can be seen from outside. The housing is opened and cleaned while the pump is switched off, and the lid is seated back in place and closed.

On all Sena models the suction and discharge connections are D50, and D50 unions come with the pump. It therefore connects to a 50 mm pipe line without additional fittings. If the pipe line has a different diameter, an adaptor is used. For pools that need a wider D63 or D75 connection, the Verdon ES range is considered.
