Aral Plus C-3000 is a cast iron centrifugal pool pump connected to the filter line of public pools. Çilek Havuz supplies Aral Plus C-3000 through quotes and as part of its projects. The motor is two-pole and runs at 3000 rpm. Six power steps range from 3 to 12.5 HP; in total, 11 models are supplied for 230/400 V or 400/690 V three-phase. The body is cataphoresis coated and the impeller is bronze.

Users and applications
Aral Plus C-3000 is chosen as the circulation pump that passes water through the filter line in public pools. Power is set by the flow rate of the line: at 6 m head, the 3 HP model delivers 51 m³/h and the 12.5 HP model 194 m³/h. The impeller is bronze, and the body is cataphoresis-coated cast iron.

Installation and compatible equipment
Aral Plus C-3000 is installed between the suction line coming from the pool and the filter. The suction connection is 80 mm on the 3 HP model and 100 or 125 mm on the other models; discharge is 3 inch BSP on the 3 HP model and 100 mm on the others. The supply is taken from a three-phase line. The discharge outlet goes to a filter such as the Oslo Filament Wound Filter or the Rodas Horizontal Filament Wound Filter.
- The pump is placed on a solid, level floor in the plant room.
- The suction line is connected to the suction port and the discharge outlet to the filter.
- The pump body is filled with water before start-up.
- The three-phase supply is connected in line with the voltage on the rating plate.

Maintenance checkpoints
Routine work consists of monitoring the noise, vibration and connection points of the pump while it runs. The cataphoresis coating of the cast iron body is kept free of scratches. The current drawn by the motor is compared with the rating plate value. If the noise or current changes noticeably, the suction line and impeller area are checked.

+90 216 475 39 37The choice is set by the flow rate the line requires. At 6 m head, 3 HP delivers 51 m³/h, 4 HP 118 m³/h, 7.5 HP 152 m³/h, 10 HP 185 m³/h and 12.5 HP 194 m³/h. The 5.5 HP model is available with two different connections. Flow rate falls as head increases, so the operating head of the line is the basis for selection.

The connection diameter depends on the model. On the 3 HP model, suction is 80 mm and discharge 3 inch BSP. On the 4 HP and 5.5 HP DN100-100 models, suction and discharge are 100 mm. On the 5.5 HP DN125-100, 7.5, 10 and 12.5 HP models, suction is 125 mm and discharge 100 mm. The pipework is prepared to these diameters.

The difference lies in motor speed and power range. Aral Plus C-3000 runs at 3000 rpm with a two-pole motor and is available from 3 to 12.5 HP. Aral Plus C-1500 runs at 1450 rpm with a four-pole motor and is available from 4 to 25 HP. C-1500 is chosen where 15, 20 or 25 HP is needed, and C-3000 for 3 HP and a higher-speed pump.

Depending on the model, it runs on 230/400 V or 400/690 V three-phase. The 3 HP model comes only in 230/400 V. The 4, 5.5 and 7.5 HP models are available in both 230/400 V and 400/690 V versions. The 10 and 12.5 HP models come only in 400/690 V. The voltage is chosen to suit the supply line of the facility.

The current drawn depends on the model and voltage. The 3 HP model draws 7.6 A at 230 V and 4.3 A at 400 V. The 7.5 HP model draws 17.6 and 10.1 A in the 230/400 V version. The 12.5 HP model draws 16.6 and 9.6 A in the 400/690 V version.

The body is cast iron and is coated against corrosion by cataphoresis; the impeller is bronze. Weight is 55 kg for the 3 HP model, 68 kg for the 4 HP model, 99 kg for the 7.5 HP model and 113 kg for the 12.5 HP model. Because of its weight, the pump is placed on a solid floor.

Flow rate falls as head increases. The 4 HP model delivers 70 m³/h at 12 m head and 20 m³/h at 16 m head. The 7.5 HP model delivers 106 m³/h at 12 m head and 5 m³/h at 18 m head. The 12.5 HP model delivers 26 m³/h at 22 m head. Higher power steps are chosen for high-head lines.
