The AstralPool Floating Dispenser is a tablet float that dissolves a chlorine or bromine tablet slowly while floating on the pool surface. Çilek Havuz supplies Floating Dispenser through quotes and as part of its projects. It requires no pipework or electrical connection. There are separate models for 20 g, 200 g and 250 g tablets; for 200 g tablets there are two options, standard and compact. The body is UV-resistant plastic, and the dosage is adjustable.

Users and applications
The floating dispenser is used in pools where simple tablet dosing is wanted without pipework or electrical work. The tablet dissolves inside the body as it moves across the pool surface. The model is chosen according to the weight of the tablet used. The dosage is adjustable. In a pool where fixed, adjustable dosing connected to the filter line is wanted, an in-line tablet chlorinator is used.

Installation and compatible equipment
No installation is required for the floating dispenser. The model that suits the tablet weight is chosen, the body is opened and the tablets are placed in the chamber wearing gloves. The dose setting is started low. The dispenser is placed in the pool; if wanted, it is secured with a cord from the tether ring. After a few days, the chlorine is measured and the setting is corrected accordingly.

Maintenance checkpoints
The tablet level is checked regularly and the chamber is refilled before it runs empty. The body, lid and water openings are cleaned of tablet residue. Chlorine and bromine tablets are not placed in the same dispenser together; if the tablet type is to change, the body is rinsed with clean water. At the end of the season, the dispenser is emptied, rinsed and stored out of the sun.

For 200 g tablets there are two models, standard and compact. 200 g tablets such as the CTX Multi-Action 200g Pool Chlorine Tablet go in the 200 g model.

The Floating Dispenser has adjustable dosing; the setting regulates the amount of chemical released into the water. The dose is set according to the chlorine reading in the pool: if chlorine reads high, the setting is reduced, and if it reads low, it is increased. On hot and sunny days the tablet dissolves faster, and the setting is reviewed accordingly. The CTX Pool Water Test Kit (pH/Chlorine/Bromine) can be used for the measurement.

The AstralPool Floating Dispenser moves across the pool surface, requires no installation, and the tablet dissolves in the pool water. The AstralPool Dossi Chlorinator is fitted to the filter return line with a 1 1/2 inch connection and sets the dose with a regulating valve. The floating dispenser is chosen for low-cost dosing without installation, Dossi for dosing with permanent pipework.

Before entering the pool, free chlorine is measured with a test kit, and swimming begins once the value has dropped into the recommended range. In a pool using a floating dispenser, the dispenser is taken out of the water before swimming. This way swimmers do not come into contact with the body holding the tablets. The CTX Pool Water Test Kit (pH/Chlorine/Bromine) can be used for the measurement.

The dispenser is used so that it does not get stuck in the skimmer mouth or the ladder corner. If necessary, it is secured with a cord from the tether ring. While the pool is in use, the dispenser is taken out of the water and kept in a container out of the reach of children. The tablets are loaded wearing gloves. Chlorine and bromine tablets are not placed in the same dispenser together. An empty dispenser is not left at the poolside.
