The SD Series 2025 Portable Tester is a portable digital instrument that measures pH, ORP, conductivity, TDS, salt and temperature in pool water. Çilek Havuz supplies SD Series 2025 through quotes and as part of its projects. It has four models: SD10 pH, SD20 ORP, SD30 EC and SD40 Multi. The display is three-colour, the housing is IP67 protected and it runs for more than 2000 hours on 4 AAA batteries.

Users and applications
The SD Series 2025 is chosen by those who want to measure several values with one instrument or use a limit alarm. The model is determined by the value to be measured: SD10 for pH, SD20 for ORP, SD30 for conductivity and salt, and SD40 Multi for all of them. The display shows measurement in blue, calibration in green and alarm in red.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The SD Series 2025 needs no fixed installation. Use starts by inserting 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries. Calibration depends on the model: USA or NIST buffer values for pH, 84 µS/cm, 1413 µS/cm and 12.88 mS/cm solutions for conductivity, and a +470 mV reference for ORP. Auto hold is available on all models.
- 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries are inserted into the instrument.
- The calibration points suited to the model are selected.
- The limit alarm is set for the SD10 and SD20.
- The measurement is taken and the value is held on the display with auto hold.

Maintenance checkpoints
Accuracy depends on renewing the calibration points regularly. The instrument switches off automatically after 8 minutes and runs for more than 2000 hours on 4 AAA batteries. The operating conditions are 0-60 °C in a non-condensing environment. The housing measures 180 x 40 x 40 mm and weighs 151 g.

All four also show temperature. The limit alarm is only on the SD10 and SD20; the SD30 and SD40 have no alarm. The model is chosen according to the value to be measured.

The SD Series 2025 consists of the SD10, SD20, SD30 and SD40 models and runs for more than 2000 hours on 4 AAA batteries. The earlier SD Series includes the SD 50, SD 60 and SD 90 models, uses 2 AAA batteries and has a battery life of over 25 hours.

The display uses three-colour backlighting. Blue indicates measurement, green calibration and red alarm. The alarm colour is used on the SD10 and SD20 models, because the limit alarm is found only on these two models. The auto hold function is available on all models and holds the value on the display.

Two buffer sets are defined for the SD10 and SD40. The USA set uses 1.68, 4.00, 7.00, 10.01 and 12.45 pH, and the NIST set 1.68, 4.01, 6.86, 9.81 and 12.45 pH. Calibration is carried out at 1 to 3 points; a single point is sufficient for the SD20 ORP.

The SD40 Multi measures pH over 0.00-14.00, conductivity over 0.01-20.00 mS/cm, TDS over 0.01-20.00 ppt and salt over 0.001-10 g/l. pH accuracy is ± 0.01, and conductivity, TDS and salt accuracy is ± 1% FS. Temperature is shown between 0 and 50 °C.

The SD30 EC measures conductivity over 0.01-20.00 mS/cm, TDS over 0.01-20.00 ppt and salt over 0.01-10 g/l. Calibration is carried out at 1 to 3 points with 84 µS/cm, 1413 µS/cm and 12.88 mS/cm solutions. Ranging is automatic; the SD30 has no limit alarm, and the display shows measurement in blue and calibration in green.
