AstralPool Heliox UV MP is a medium pressure system that disinfects public pool water with UV-C radiation. Çilek Havuz supplies Heliox UV MP through quotes and as part of its projects. The reactor is AISI 316 stainless steel and is sized for a radiation dose of 60 mJ/cm². Lamp power is adjustable between 70-100%. Six models, in standard and Auto Wiper versions, make up 12 options.

Users and applications
Heliox UV MP is designed for the scale of public pools. It is chosen in public and institutional pool projects, and in facilities where the chlorine odour caused by chloramines is to be reduced. UV-C leaves no residual effect in the pool. Free chlorine is provided separately by a salt electrolysis system or chlorine dosing. The model is determined by the circulation flow rate of the facility.

Installation and compatible equipment
The reactor is connected to the return line after the filter. The control panel is hung on the wall beside the reactor, and the lamp cable is run from the panel to the reactor. Access space is left above the reactor for replacing the lamp and quartz sleeve. The match between model and flow rate is verified with the hydraulic data of the facility before installation.

Maintenance checkpoints
Maintenance focuses on the lamp and the quartz sleeve. The radiation sensor shows the UV-C value reaching the water in mW/cm². When the value drops, the sleeve and lamp are checked. On the Auto Wiper version, the sleeve is wiped during operation. Replacement lamps and sleeves are listed by model group on the Heliox Replacement Lamp/Sleeve page.
- The radiation sensor value is read regularly on the display.
- On the standard version, the quartz sleeve is periodically removed and cleaned.
- On the Auto Wiper version, the wiper movement is checked.
- During lamp replacement, the quartz sleeve is inspected for cracks.

The wiper keeps the surface of the sleeve inside the reactor clean during operation and maintains UV transmission. Maintenance needs are reduced. On the standard version, the sleeve is periodically removed and cleaned by hand. The choice depends on whether sleeve cleaning is to be done during operation.

Yes, UV-C disinfects the water only at the moment it passes through the reactor and leaves no residual effect in the pool. Free chlorine is provided by a salt electrolysis system or a chlorine dosing pump. As UV-C reduces chloramines, the chlorine odour drops. The two systems work together on the same return line.

Heliox UV MP uses a medium pressure lamp and is intended for public pools. It has an AISI 316 reactor, a colour touch screen and a 70-100% power setting. Heliox UV LP S.S. and Heliox UV LP PE work with low pressure, 254 nm lamps. In the LP series, the flow rate is between 20 and 327 m³/h depending on the model.

Lamp power is set on the colour touch screen within the 70-100% range, in 1% steps. The radiation sensor in the reactor measures the UV-C value reaching the water in mW/cm² and shows it on the display. The system is sized for a radiation dose of 60 mJ/cm². The setting is made on the control panel display. The radiation value on the display is used to monitor the power setting.

There are six models: Heliox UV MP 50, 80, 140, 300, 450 and 675. The choice is made by the circulation flow rate of the facility and the target radiation dose. The match between model and flow rate is verified with the hydraulic data of the facility. Each model is offered in a standard or Auto Wiper version.

Replacement lamps and quartz sleeves are listed by model group on the Heliox Replacement Lamp/Sleeve page. MP 50 and MP 80 use the same lamp, MP 140 a separate lamp. MP 300, MP 450 and MP 675 work with a shared lamp. The quartz sleeve is different for the 50/80/140 and 300/450/675 groups.

The difference lies in the lamp type, UV dose and body. Heliox UV MP uses a medium pressure lamp, delivers a 60 mJ/cm² dose and its reactor is AISI 316 stainless steel. Lyriox UV-C delivers a 30 mJ/cm² dose, has a PVC body and handles 2 to 15 m³/h. The lamp life of Lyriox is 9,000 hours.
