Smart Next, Salt Chlorinator.
Smart Next is a salt chlorinator that is fitted to the filtration return line and produces chlorine from the salt in pool water. Çilek Havuz supplies Smart Next through quotes and as part of its projects. Five capacities produce 7, 12, 21, 30 and 40 g/h of chlorine and suit pools of 30 to 180 m³. There are three versions, Standard, pH and pH/Rx; pH and ORP are measured on the versions with sensors. Control is via a backlit LCD display.

Users and applications
Smart Next is chosen for private pools that are to produce their chlorine from salt; the measurement requirement determines the version. The Standard version only produces chlorine, the pH version measures pH, and the pH/Rx version measures pH and ORP. The capacity is determined by pool volume, between 30 m³ and 180 m³. Control is via a backlit LCD display.

Installation and compatible equipment
The electrolysis cell is fitted in a vertical position to the DN50 or DN63 pipe in the filtration line. The control unit measures 23 x 37 x 13.5 cm. The unit has a gas detector and a temperature sensor; the pH and pH/Rx versions come with a pH sensor, and the pH/Rx version also with an ORP sensor. Once the line is installed, the salt concentration of the pool water is brought to at least 4 g/l.
- The cell is fitted vertically to a DN50 or DN63 pipe.
- The control unit is fixed at a point close to the cell.
- On the pH and pH/Rx versions, the sensors are connected to the line.
- The salt concentration of the pool water is brought to at least 4 g/l.
- The chlorine production rate and operating mode are selected on the display.

Maintenance checkpoints
Cell life is 10,000 hours, and polarity reversal takes place every 2 or 3 hours. The salt concentration is measured and topped up before it falls below 4 g/l. On the pH and pH/Rx versions, the measuring accuracy is 0.01 pH. The unit works in water between 5 and 40 °C.

All three versions are available in 7, 12, 21, 30 and 40 g/h capacities. pH is measured over 0.0 - 9.9 and ORP over 0 - 999 mV. If no measurement is wanted, the Standard version is chosen.

The model number gives the chlorine output in g/h. Smart Next 7 is sized for a 30 m³ pool, Smart Next 12 for 50 m³, Smart Next 21 for 90 m³, Smart Next 30 for 140 m³ and Smart Next 40 for 180 m³. If the pool is close to the capacity limit, the next model up is chosen.

The unit comes with three operating modes: Normal, Boost and Bio-pool. Boost mode lasts 24 hours. The modes are selected with the touch buttons on the backlit LCD display. The unit has a gas detector and a temperature sensor; the versions with sensors measure pH, and the pH/Rx version also measures ORP.

Smart Next is offered in ready-made versions with pH and pH/Rx sensors; Energy Connect, by contrast, connects to an app via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Smart Next requires at least 4 g/l of salt and its cell lasts 10,000 hours. Energy Connect works with 3 g/l of salt, its cell lasts 8,000 hours, and it is upgraded later with pH and ORP kits.

Cell life is 10,000 hours. The cell works with polarity reversal; the reversal interval is 2 or 3 hours. The salt concentration is kept at a minimum of 4 g/l, and the water temperature must be between 5 and 40 °C. The cell is fitted in a vertical position to a DN50 or DN63 pipe.

Smart Next runs on a 220-240 V, 50-60 Hz mains supply. The unit measures 23 x 37 x 13.5 cm. Weight is between 6.2 and 9.5 kg on the Standard versions and rises to between 6.65 and 11.35 kg on the pH/Rx versions. These dimensions are taken into account when allocating space in the plant room.

The pH versions measure with an accuracy of 0.01 pH, and the pH/Rx versions also with an accuracy of 1 mV. The Standard version has no pH or ORP measurement; it has only a gas detector and a temperature sensor. The capacity is chosen by pool volume, while the measurement requirement determines the Standard, pH or pH/Rx version.
