Zodiac eXO iQ LS, Low Salt Chlorinator.
Zodiac eXO iQ LS is a salt chlorinator that produces chlorine at a low recommended salt level of 2 g/l. Çilek Havuz supplies eXO iQ LS through quotes and as part of its projects. The eXO iQ LS 10 and eXO iQ LS 18 models produce 10 and 18 g/h of chlorine and suit pools of 40 and 70 m³. The unit works with a minimum of 1.6 g/l of salt, connects to the iAquaLink app over Wi-Fi and can be extended with pH Link or Dual Link.

Users and applications
Zodiac eXO iQ LS is chosen for small and medium-sized pools where the salt level in the pool water is to be kept low. The recommended 2 g/l level is half of the 4 g/l required by Zodiac eXO iQ. This means less salt is added to the pool at the first fill and when topping up during the season. The unit is used in pools of up to 70 m³.

Installation and compatible equipment
Installation is the same as for eXO iQ: the cell is fitted horizontally on the return line after the filter and connects to DN50, DN63 or 1 ½" (48 mm) pipe. The control unit is hung on the wall no more than 1.8 m from the cell. When salt is first added to the pool, the target is 2 g/l; the quantity calculated for standard units is not used.

Maintenance checkpoints
The level is not allowed to fall below 1.6 g/l. As rain and fresh water dilute the salt, the level is monitored frequently from the app. The cell is cleaned through polarity reversal, set at an interval of 2 to 8 hours. Cell life is 10,000 hours.
- The salt level is checked after rain and after water is added.
- The polarity interval is kept short in hard water.
- The cell plates are visually checked from time to time.
- Before winter, the cell is removed and stored in a frost-free place.

The standard Zodiac eXO iQ works with a recommended level of 4 g/l. The amount of salt to add to the pool is calculated from the water volume and this 2 g/l target.

The control unit, cell design, app and expansion modules are the same on both units. The difference is in salt level and capacity: eXO iQ LS works with 2 g/l of salt, while eXO iQ needs 4 g/l. eXO iQ LS comes in 10 and 18 g/h models, eXO iQ in 10, 18, 22 and 35 g/h models.

eXO iQ LS 10 is for 40 m³ and eXO iQ LS 18 for 70 m³ pools. Their chlorine outputs are 10 and 18 g/h. There is no low salt model for pools larger than 70 m³; for these pools, the Zodiac eXO iQ models with 100 m³ and 160 m³ capacity are chosen.

eXO iQ LS can be used in an existing saltwater pool; the unit works with up to 10 g/l of salt. If the salt level is above this value, it is first brought below 10 g/l. The recommended level is 2 g/l; the unit works with a minimum of 1.6 g/l of salt. The existing level is measured with a test kit and compared.

Zodiac Dual Link is fitted to eXO iQ LS as a plug-and-play module. The module measures pH and doses acid, and adjusts the chlorine output of the unit according to the ORP value. If only pH control is wanted, the simpler Zodiac pH Link is chosen. Both modules are optional.

eXO iQ LS works in water between 5 and 40 °C. The cell is fitted horizontally and its cable is 1.8 m long. Cell life is 10,000 hours; polarity reverses at an interval of 2 to 8 hours. The pipe connection can be DN50, DN63 or 1 ½ inch (48 mm), and the unit has a 3-year warranty.

Boost mode raises chlorine output to full capacity. Low mode is the cover mode, and the output rate can be set between 0% and 30%. eXO iQ LS has three modes: Normal, Boost and Low. The unit connects to the iAquaLink app over Wi-Fi; the control unit measures 32 x 37 x 12 cm.
