Zodiac eXO iQ is a salt chlorinator that produces chlorine from salt water and can be extended to pH and ORP control with the pH Link or Dual Link module. Çilek Havuz supplies eXO iQ through quotes and as part of its projects. The eXO iQ 10, 18, 22 and 35 models produce 10-35 g/h of chlorine and suit pools of 40-160 m³. The unit connects to the iAquaLink app over Wi-Fi and also schedules the filter pump.

Users and applications
Zodiac eXO iQ is chosen for pools where chlorination and pH and ORP control are to be brought together in a single unit. On its own the unit produces chlorine; the pH Link or Dual Link module is fitted to it as an option. The filter pump and two auxiliary outputs are scheduled from the unit. The model is chosen by pool volume.

// 03 · Installation and compatibility
Installation and compatible equipment
The electrolysis cell is fitted horizontally on the return line after the filter; it suits DN50, DN63 and 1 ½" (48 mm) pipe. The box contains a wall mounting kit, flow switch kit, temperature sensor kit and reducer kit. The control unit is installed no more than 1.8 m from the cell and connects to the home network over Wi-Fi.
- The cell is placed horizontally on the return line after the filter.
- The flow switch and temperature sensor are fitted to the cell line.
- The control unit is fixed close to the cell with the wall mounting kit.
- The filter pump and auxiliary equipment are connected to the unit outputs.
- The unit is added to the iAquaLink app over Wi-Fi.
// 04 · Maintenance
Maintenance checkpoints
The cell cleans itself through polarity reversal, set at an interval of 2 to 8 hours. The salt level is monitored from the app and topped up before it falls below 3.3 g/l. Cell life is 10,000 hours. If pH Link or Dual Link is fitted, the sensors and calibration are also added to the maintenance schedule.
- The polarity interval is kept short in hard water.
- Salt level and water temperature are monitored from the iAquaLink app.
- The flow switch is checked to make sure it stays clean on the cell line.
- Before winter, the cell is removed and stored in a frost-free place.

+90 216 475 39 37The Zodiac pH Link module is fitted to eXO iQ for pH control, and the Zodiac Dual Link module for ORP control together with pH. The modules are optional and plug-and-play. An eXO iQ with Dual Link fitted adjusts its chlorine output on its own according to the ORP value of the water.

eXO iQ schedules up to three pieces of equipment: the filter pump and two auxiliary outputs. The filter pump can be single speed or a Zodiac variable speed pump. A heater or pool lighting is usually connected to the auxiliary outputs. Schedules are changed from the control unit or from the iAquaLink app.

The model is chosen by the water volume of the pool: eXO iQ 10 is for 40 m³, eXO iQ 18 for 70 m³, eXO iQ 22 for 100 m³ and eXO iQ 35 for 160 m³ pools. Their chlorine outputs are 10, 18, 22 and 35 g/h. In a hot climate, under heavy use or in a pool without a cover, the next model up is chosen.

All three use the same control unit and cell design. Zodiac eXO iQ works with the recommended 4 g/l of salt. Zodiac eXO iQ LS works with a low salt level of 2 g/l and is available only in 10 and 18 g/h models. Zodiac Hydroxinator iQ works with MagnaPool® Minerals instead of salt.

The iAquaLink app works through the Wi-Fi connection of eXO iQ. The chlorine output rate, the Normal, Boost and Low modes, and the filter pump and auxiliary output schedules are managed from the app. Salt level and water temperature are also monitored from the app. The interface is available in 11 languages and the mobile app is free.

When the pool is covered, eXO iQ is switched to Low mode and chlorine output is set between 0% and 30%. As the cover blocks sunlight, chlorine is used up more slowly and full output is not needed. When the pool is used heavily or the water turns cloudy, Boost mode raises output to full capacity.

eXO iQ cell life is 10,000 hours. The cell is fitted horizontally, connects to DN50, DN63 or 1 ½ inch (48 mm) pipe and works in water between 5 and 40 °C. Polarity reverses at an interval of 2 to 8 hours. The unit has a 3-year warranty.
