AstralPool Exactus is a wall-mounted manual dosing pump that doses liquid chemical at a fixed rate set by hand. Çilek Havuz supplies Exactus through quotes and as part of its projects. All models deliver a flow of 5 l/h. The manual analogue models work up to 7 or 10 bar, the manual digital model up to 10 bar. The pump weighs 4 kg. The series is available while stocks last.

Users and applications
Exactus is chosen for pools where chemical demand does not vary much from day to day and measurement automation is not wanted. The dose is set by hand after the pool water has been tested, and the pump keeps this rate constant. It is wall-mounted and used for a single chemical. The series is available while stocks last; for a job that needs more than one pump, stock is checked in advance.

Installation and compatible equipment
The pump is wall-mounted in the plant room close to the chemical container. The suction line is placed in the container, and the discharge line is run to the injection point on the return line after the filter. If a level sensor is fitted to the suction line, the pump does not run dry when the container empties. The pump is wired so that it is energised while the filter pump is running; no chemical is injected when there is no flow.

- An initial dose is set and corrected after a few days according to the water test.

Maintenance checkpoints
With a manual pump, the dose is reviewed regularly against the pool water test result. The setting is raised or lowered as the season, temperature and use change. The suction and discharge valves are checked for crystallisation and blockage. The container is replaced before it runs empty. For the winter shutdown, the pump head is flushed by running it with clean water.

+90 216 475 39 37No. AstralPool Exactus does not measure pH or redox; it delivers a fixed dose at the set rate. The dose is changed by hand after the pool water has been tested. If a pump that measures the value and doses on its own is wanted, AstralPool Control Basic Next or AstralPool Optima Next is chosen.

The difference is in how they are set. On the manual analogue model, the flow is set with the knob on the front panel; the 7 bar model has 0-100% and 0-20% ranges, the 10 bar model a 0-100% range. On the manual digital model, the injection frequency is set from 0-100% in 1% steps on a 3-digit display. All three models deliver 5 l/h.

The pressure value is the highest line pressure the pump can overcome at the injection point. In pools with low line pressure at the filter outlet, the 7 bar model is sufficient. In an installation where line pressure is high or unknown, the 10 bar model is chosen. The flow is 5 l/h on all three models. The analogue 10 bar model and the digital model reach the same pressure.

A level sensor is optional for Exactus but recommended. The sensor prevents the pump from running dry when the chemical in the container runs out. A pump running with an empty container pumps air and dosing stops. The sensor is placed at the end of the suction line, near the bottom of the container, and is used in the same way on the analogue and digital models.

Both series deliver a fixed dose set by hand. AstralPool Exactus comes only with a 5 l/h flow and is available while stocks last. AstralPool Acqua Dos offers 5, 10 and 32 l/h in manual analogue and manual digital models and comes with an installation kit. For a pool that needs a higher flow, Acqua Dos is chosen.

Chlorine is consumed in the pool every day; sun, temperature and the number of bathers increase consumption. Chlorine added by hand makes the level fluctuate during the day. A dosing pump such as Exactus delivers liquid chlorine in small, steady amounts throughout the day. The dose is readjusted according to the result of regular water tests.
