Users and applications
The tank is used in pools where liquid chemicals are fed to a dosing pump. It is chosen in facilities that want a fixed store instead of containers. Capacity is determined by the daily consumption of the pump and the filling frequency. There are five capacities: 125, 250, 350, 500 and 1000 L. The bottom outlet union allows the tank to be connected to the suction line of the dosing pump.

Installation and compatible equipment
The tank is placed on a flat, solid floor close to the dosing pump. The outlet union at the bottom is connected to the suction line of the pump; this way, the chemical is drawn from the bottom of the tank. A separate tank is installed for each chemical, and its contents are written on the tank. If a solution is to be prepared, the Manual Mixer is lowered through the tank lid.

Maintenance checkpoints
The polyethylene body is resistant to chemicals; maintenance is mainly directed at the connection points. The bottom union and suction hose are checked for leaks at every filling. If the type of chemical is to be changed, the tank is first emptied and rinsed with plenty of water. Sediment collecting at the bottom is cleaned before it blocks the pump suction.

The AstralPool polyethylene tank is offered in capacities of 125, 250, 350, 500 and 1000 L. A larger capacity reduces filling frequency, while a smaller capacity takes up less space. The pump flow rate and the area where the tank will stand are assessed together in the selection.

No, acid and chlorine are not kept in the same tank and are not mixed with each other. A separate polyethylene tank is installed for the pH regulator and for the liquid chlorine. The name of the chemical it contains is written on each tank. The tanks are connected to separate dosing pumps; this label prevents emptying into the wrong tank during filling.

The outlet union at the bottom of the tank is connected to the suction line of the dosing pump. With this connection, the chemical is drawn from the bottom of the tank and the tank is used down to its last level. The AstralPool Acqua Dos, AstralPool Optima, AstralPool Optima Next and AstralPool Exactus dosing pumps on the site are installed together with this tank.

The AstralPool Dossi Chlorinator is a chlorinator fitted in the line that dissolves chlorine or bromine tablets and does not need a pump. The tank is chosen for an automatic dosing line using liquid chlorine and pH regulator; the chlorinator is chosen for a pool disinfected with tablets.

If a solution is prepared from powder or granular chemicals, a mixer is needed. The AstralPool Manual Mixer is offered in 60 cm and 90 cm lengths for these polyethylene tanks. In a tank using ready-made liquid chemicals, no mixer is needed. The length is chosen by tank depth; the blade should come down close to the tank base.
